Shin Kamen Rider is a 2023 Japanese superhero film directed and written by Hideaki Anno. Produced to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Kamen Rider, it is the third reboot of a tokusatsu series to be adapted by Anno, following Shin Godzilla and Shin Ultraman. (from wiki)

Medicom already taking pre-orders for their 1/6 scale figures and the motorcycle.

I heard the movie is doing OK, and I have more choices to choose from now

I ordered VTS toys at first because Medicom is terrible with their pleather jackets plus overall joint looseness. This is also with an insane premium pricing that isn't even at Hot Toys level.

Now that Threezero is coming with their own version, I will probably hop over and get the entire set. Looks like the headsculpt has rooted hair too.

Definitely getting the Threezeros one. Glad I decided to not PO the Medicoms and VTS. So stoked to finally see these companies jumping on Kamen Rider licenses after so so many years. It's basically a gold mine over in Asia and hopefully soon also in the western market.

Here are the Prototypes along with the Cyclones. They look great!

I just found out about these figures and now hestitated to buy from which companies.
I only bought medicom figure once and the pegs breaking apart easily so I probably will be skipping their version. now it’s a contest between vts & threezero, though I inclined more towards threezero because I bought their transformers figures an they’re awesomely build imo

Threezero look much superior prototype to prototype imo. Although VTS base looks really cool and of course they come with an un-helmeted sculpt as of right now

I agree, but I kinda wish for threezero to not include the unhelmeted sculpt because I think their headsculpts weren’t good enough with past releases

Totally understand where you're coming from, I hope for the same too so we can get better prices.

didnt they switch to new type of leather since the last old rider 1 years ago?

Still ****. All it does is just delay the inevitable.

Don't get me started on their equally **** body too.

i dont know. havent heard any updates on them. do they still flake?

i assume other brands do too so i avoid them unless i feel i can remake them using real leather. just cleaned a panzer cop. still 3 to go...

Don't have the newest but I wouldn't trust them after my Kamen Rider Build disintegrate into nothingness and the right arm joint broke off. Oh and also the paint starts leaking oil too.

I think RAH series are very good at their accuracy but they are charging a premium for that and completely forgoing the quality and longevity of the figures. They are also much more expensive than Hot Toys figures (and have been for a while at that).

I'm glad to see other manufacturers trying to tap into the Kamen Rider market, it's definitely an untouched market for a long while with both Medicom (RAH) and Bandai having an iron grip on it. There are very interesting designs throughout the generations that I would love to have such as Kamen Rider Ghost, Zero-One, Geats and the Classics like Black RX and also the Black Sun too.

there was a hk company that made black and shadowmoon using real leather and led. but then again i dont know if they used full grain or repurposed genuine leather.

a trusted seller from my country said that the VTS version will be using a real leather, though I’m still waiting for the threezero version

Are you sure? Every web site says "new material" That's kinda vague and doesn't sound like real leather.

The threezero one is lacking the unmask head sculpt, but the rest parts are on par or better than Medicom

well threezero really thinks by using the word plastic material will change peoples view on pleather? 😂😂😂

still depends on what type of real leather. full grain/top grain/suede/repurposed genuine leather?

i think probably genione leather in order to make them consistant and thin enough, will last a good 3 years. worse than pleather because the real leather flakes actually have worse adhesiveness.
