WOW!!
Watched this last night and I just have to say this movie rocked balls. It's definitely one where if you suspend disbelief you'll love it but if you go into it questioning the physics, you probably won't enjoy it.

Clive Owen has done little wrong in recent years (Sin City, Children of Men, Inside Man) and doesn't dissapoint here. He's an anti-hero worth cheering for.

Paul Giamatti was suitibly smarmy as the bad guy and Monica Belluci was great as Owen's partner-in-crime.

I highly recommend it, espeically if you can see it in Blu-ray.
It'll melt your eyes.

Told you it was great. SO over-the-top, but in a great way. Plus, anything with the Goddess Monica Bellucci is okay in my book (even the brothers grimm)

I had no idea what was meant to be watching but it was great over the top fun even though a lot of people die.
Always eating carrots.

I saw that movie at a special screening for free. Worth every penny! Or lack there of. Seriously, I would have been happy had I paid 9-10 bucks to see it.

Wow.... I'm obviously in the minority here, I thought this movie was terrible. I rented it on PPV recently and didn't even finish watching it.. I honestly don't have a single positive thing to say about it other than the fact that Monica Bellucci is always gorgeous. I love a good action flick, no matter how outrageous or violent... But this one was just badly written and executed. The action was poorly staged, badly coreographed, TERRIBLE dialogue, and storyline that felt made-for-cable. Just my humble opinion, I'm glad everyone else enjoyed it!

I usually don't comment much about films, but this movie is destined to be a cult classic. The oneliners with Owen were well timed. True creativity in this film. Although it was over the top, and alot of the action sequence's were familiar, it did have some new material. Tarentino should be jealous of this film. He hasn't made anything close to this in years.

Got to say that it's up there with Crank as one of my favorite popcorn action flicks. Sure, it's hugely over-the-top and corny, but I don't think I laughed harder at a comedy all last year.

I'm with Andy. And I'm a huge Paul Giamatti fan.

We're all entitled to our opinions, but man... that was a fun flick! So what is your idea of a great over-the-top action flick?

And how was it poorly choreographed? It was meant to be over the top. I mean yeah there were some shots that were awww too convenient and unrealistic, but this is the movies. hehe

Your choice of over-the-top popcorn action flicks is amazing! I enjoyed both movies thoroughly. Including Running Scared.

Honestly, I came out of the theater hating myself for wasting 2 hours of my life watching this joke of a movie. I'd have to agree with everything Andy B stated as that is exactly how i feel as well. This movie doesnt even deserve to be a straight to cable flick.

Running Scared! I was trying to think of that one to include in my list. Running Scared is a little deeper though with the whole fairytale motif and stronger themes going on.

Yup, I had to own both Crank and Running Scared. And I agree, that Running Scared was the deeper movie of the three. It got really dark in certain areas. I couldn't help but pump my fist in excitement when the mother went all vigilante style on that creepy couple.

Crank was awesome; I still say that he lived at the end

I LOVED IT!!!! best line was....'do we suck that bad, or is this guy that good?!!'
