Should Hot Toys "RE-DO" their AVP & ALIENS lines?

Well, it's obvious that Hot Toys is miles from what they were when they initially released these lines in terms of material quality, sculpts, etc.

And Hot Toys has had a recent habit of "re-doing" some figures several times to correct previous inferior sculpts, materials,etc. Some clear examples are the TDK Original Suit Batman (replacing the Batman Begins version), The DX-02 Dark Knight Batman (replacing the original TDK suit Bats), and we can go on and on about the Joker.

But considering how they are now with the Alien/Predator lines. What are the thoughts on "re-doing" the AVP Predators and Aliens? And what about the ALIENS Colonial Marines and Alien Warrior?

Aliens Warrior, and Alien Big Chap? Yes, because the original figures were less great than they should have been, and those are characters from great films that deserve justice. Same for the Colonial Marines. Though the gear is nice, the bodies, heads, and BDUs could use upgrades.

Predators, I personally don't think so. The most iconic Predator was done and done exceptionally well. The others are from lame films that I don't care about.

I wouldn't mind if they did. Although I too would leave out the AvP stuff.

I do really hope they plan to redo their T1 figures, MMS 01 and 02! The others I'd like but can live without.

But im really hope they can release some predator body and accerssories...

As for the Aliens, I think the first AVP Alien was great, but all the rest of 'em (ALIENS, Alien 3, and Big Chap) were underwhelming in various ways, so yeah, I'd like to see them redo some of 'em even if there isn't a significant reason to do so.

If not, you'll still get your HT Alien fix once the new Alien prequel is out.

I'm all for a redo of the ALIENS Warrior and Giger's Alien.

Two missed opportunities for greatness there.

T1 Kyle Reese future soldier
T2 endoskeleton (great figure but could be improved in a few ways)

in addition to brand new figures like Tech Noir T-800 and 1984 Kyle Reese for the Terminator line.

HT should "re-do" their entire design/technical team before they're allowed to make any more ____ty alien figures.
how ____ing hard is it to look at a picture of what you're sculpting to see if it looks right?

and i couldn't care less about the avp aliens. that movie was gay and so are the 8th graders who liked it.

At least redo their ALIENS Warrior Aliens... Those are bad from a technical standpoint. More problems than any other HT Alien, so... They'd benefit from a remake.

And Prefused, that last comment is probably the most biased (or just plain insensitive) bull I've ever heard. Say it, don't spray it. Those AVP Aliens are considered to be some of the overall (look/durability) best HT has done. And the movie, quite frankly, was great IMHO.
By the way, adults don't use the word "gay." Chances are, you're the upset 8th grader. Either that, or you are an adult who -sadly- can't at least consider a minority when it comes to movies. Especially when those movies led to some very cool figures that are worth half a grand nowadays.

Just make an inaccurate queen to go with the rest of the line, and call it a day.

I want them to pick up 80's cartoons, TF and HALO licenses.
HT Thundercats, Ninja Turtles, Ghost Busters, etc FTW.

i don't demand more marines. they'll just make the same thing with updated base bodies.
they still won't look like the actors and now HT will expect $150 for scifi military figures.

also, this entire argument is moot since HT didn't care about your Aliens warrior disintegrating on the shelf the first time around.
it's not like they'll go through the expense of remaking it out of some guilt trip. they already got your $$.
