R.J. decided against having the Knights of Ren as Snoke's guards as he didn't want to waste them.

Then J.J. wasted them.

I voted "Don't care" cause there was no option for "I couldn't possibly give less of a **** if my very life depended on it."

IMO RJ was right not to use them as Snoke's guards, but by not using them at all in TLJ HE wasted them. JJ didn't have enough time to develop the characters adequately in TROS. At least we got Ben's fight with them.

They were definitely underused but I prefer the quick/dirty dispatching at the hands of their reformed leader to the drawn-out, nonsensical ballet led by their temp-good leader just because RJ needed to contrive a situation to realize his image of Rey & Kylo fighting back to back.

the Knights could've been the ones chasing Finn and Rose around Canto Blight, rather than having them be pursued by parking enforcement.

Or, Phasma, now a bounty hunter after her failure on Starkiller base, trying to bring them in to the First Order to restore her name and reputation.

Or they could have been piloting fighters alongside Kylo and one of them, after sensing his hesitation, was the one that blasted Leia into space. Maybe even have him be seen leaving Snoke's throne room at some point, which one could infer was after he'd narced on Kylo. It would also support the narrative that they were first & foremost loyal to the Emperor.

**** this trilogy

Yup. From the trailer through there'd be something *intense* about the Knights of Ren/Kylo. *&^%#.

Knights of Ren, Phasma, Finn.....:pfft::mad:

How did they know at the end of ROS that Kylo had turned to the light? Why did they attack him?

U can't ask questions like that. Like when Rey was holding that Sith knife up and I was like WTF u mean after years of waves/weather the wreckage would still match and *&^%.

Wait so you were perfectly fine with large portions of a vaporized Death Star still existing but draw the line at the wreckage surviving some water spray, lol.
