Got my Ex! But I think this is one piece where the standard is just as good as the Ex. The only two heads I would use come with either statue. I would have been a lot happier if the full face reveal also had no helmet. That would have been a great tribute to the comics. Still stoked about this statue though.

I hadn't thought of that, and I couldn't agree more. A helmetless head would have been pretty cool. I recall seeing shredder without a helmet on rare occasion in the cartoon too.

After much thought, I'm going to use the blacked out face/helmet. I think it's more sinister and shadowy than the human version. I have an idea for mounting a small corner shelf and putting him behind and to the left of my turtles display. If it works out like planned, it will look like he's on a building ledge higher and behind the turtles, about to do a surprise strike!

I like both heads other than the one without the faceplate. They are both great tributes to images of the shredder in the original comics. A TMNT fan couldn't ask for much more. Now just give me a spectacular Splinter and I can live a happy life.

After a lot of thinking I decided to pass on this entirely. My new hobby began a week ago of starting a collection of money which will be used to obliterate my long outstanding debt. A tough thing this will be to accomplish, but I think I can do it.

I also think the Shredder piece would be a crossover point to becoming a completist with the comiquettes and didn't want to fall into that trap.

I have my 4 Ex Turtles and will just leave it at that. Or potentially sell those to help the cause.

Congrats to those who ordered it! I'm surprised they are disallowing earned points toward some products. That's not right. We earned those points!
