Sideshow 1/4 Scale Robocop Love it or hate?

i think alot of arguments could be avoided if forum members would use "I believe" or "I think" in front of their comments. too many come across as insulting when I think their intent is to express their opinion. especially if you do not even own the piece or have not seen the piece in person.

i own the HT Robo 1 and would love to own the Robo PF(imperfect as it is) but it will have to wait.

In my example I like DARTH MAUL so I will buy all the stuff from darth maul.
I dont like the sideshow 12" but i still got him.

Wow, some childish people here on the forum lately, getting upset over a statue's "honor", sounds like a bunch of star wars fans (lol...before I get forced choked I will state that I am a big star wars fan myself but some people are just nuts over it, no names ). Just state if you love it or dislike the piece and state why, but don't shoot down anyones collection or respect of their collection due to having a certain piece in it, or vice versa.

Anyway, I will just state for the record that when I first seen pics of this statue I was overly disappointed, I wanted this to be part of my PF collection for the theatre room due to it being one of my overall fav movies of all time and character designs of all time. I don't care which version he is from as long as I know it is Robocop. After having it on pre-order, and canceling it not long after PO, I finally broke down and purchased on 2nd chance opportunity and boy was I glad, when I opened it I was really surprised and this is definitely an 'eye-catching' piece in my collection.

So I love it

I am not going to beat a dead horse with pointing out some of the negatives, BUT some negatives that people are bringing up are ones who are judging by just looking at pics, and one issue is due to the difficulty of photographing this statue to give it the real show off it deserves, it is definitely a piece you need to see in person; I would love to see MaulFan take a shot at doing some pictures of this PF.

Anyhow, berate me as you may like for this is the way it seems that this Thread has gone.

Some pieces do look better in person, but it's not like night and day. Plus it still doesn't fix the inaccuracies for me. RoboCop is one of my favorite movies of all time as well, I just want to see him done justice.





But it sort of seems that's what this thread was intented to do? It was just going to add fuel to the fire.

While I noticed some of the minor inaccuracies cited, I thought this looked pretty damn nice when seeing it in person back at SDCC '07.

I cancelled mine just before shipping, but it was more due to weighing space/costs vs need and not because I was dissatisfied with the product.
