yeah when I asked about that they said that they don't have the exclusive in stock and replacement bodies are still coming.
I think after so many months they should make an exception.
Has anyone heard of them getting replacement parts 7 months after it was released?

Well, the main figure for the EX and regular are the same so I can't understand why that would matter. Sounds like they need to crack open a new one and get a replacement that way, then they can add the replacement body to the open set when it arrives(if ever). They should not make you wait this much. I was freaking out over a few weeks with my Lady Death replacement(which should be here tomorrow). I can't imagine 6 months.

I have a statue to fix...:gah: Anyone know what kind of glue works best? I'm afraid if I use super glue it will destroy any paint it comes in contact with... I think these predator statues are made of polystone, am I right?

Yes and super glue should be ok if you're careful. Shouldn't come in contact with paint if used sparingly.

Try epoxy glue..
And after you glue it, spray the cigar ash a bit on top of it to make it stronger

Yea I will check out some epoxy glue. I'm not sure what you mean by spray cigar ash on it..never heard of a cigar ash spray? I will Google it

So basically I have a thumb to glue on which should be easy but then I have a leg that is cracked all the way around. The leg is still attached so I don't want to pull it all the way off. I need something with a fine point to glue inside the crack and close the gap. Its a clean break.
Anyone have any ideas to offer? Just trying to not rush and figure out what method would give the best outcome.

Ok, got him unboxed and setup. Ended up with 150/200. Looked it over and not much to complain about. A couple minor issues-The left leg kind of "floats" a bit, and does not contact the base, but it is close and the body does not wobble or anything so I think that is ok. There is a couple paint blemishes and one piece of the netting is not perfect, but again pretty minor.

The EX swap out hands are very well done. I was thinking how I can highlight the alien head so it shows up better as it really adds to the piece over the regular. To really show it off it needs a good backlight for the translucent effect to come through

Overall I am pretty satisfied, it does not have quite the level detail I was expecting after getting the Elder predator, but it is a nice piece and I think I will keep him as the EX pieces push it over the edge for me. I think I will look out for a Wolf next and maybe replace my hot toys version. If you can still find an EX I highly reccomend getting him now, 200 is not a lot to go around.

As I was swapping heads today I noticed that the paint on the dreds was very different from the masked head to the unmasked. The unmasked one I got is almost all black with not much color highlights at all while the masked head is fine. I am probably going to display with unmasked head so I will have to see if they have one with better paint. i will attach a pic so you can see what I mean.

Anyone else have an issue like this with the paint? Shocked we do not see more pics/reviews of this guy yet.

If both my swap out heads were painted even it would not bug me so much, but I see how good it could look and I don't think I can accept it so dark on the exposed head.

Don't sweat the small stuff my friend. If you look hard enough you will find imperfections in most every statue. Its a awesome statue, one of my favorites. You could always pay someone to repaint it for you if you are that upset about it. :peace

Imperfections and bad paint apps are 2 different things. There are plenty of imperfections with these kinds of statues, I could probably list 20 with this one alone(yes I see everything), but those small ones I can live with. A bad paint app is not something I can live with, it really makes the overall piece look cheap compared to the other head. I might try my hand at a repaint or get someone else to do it, but I would expect a partial refund for it not being right.

I got mine yesterday I have the same issue but mine on the mask version but the unmask is good. Will call sideshow on Monday.

So what's the final verdict, it turned out pretty good i think. People are ok now with the hug me elmo pose?

The pose and size doesn't bother me. What bothers me is the horrible AvP style of the face. It's easily the worst of the Pred designs.
