Dont know if this has been said before, but this figure is one of the few that would be a lot better with real hair

He looks strange.... almost like a cartoon version. The REAL Beetlejuice.

Face paint looks great and so do the hands. Just the likeness seems exaggerated I guess. Maybe its the hair.

It's my fault to respond but sometimes I can't help myself. I've showed restraint on several other comments in this thread as I do in most threads, but it's impossible to bite my tongue 100% of the time.

Not a fan of the expression at all. That's not to say that the sculpting and paint isn't fantastic. Just such a random expression. Not to mention his eyes facing downwards really screws over posing. If they give us a more mischievous front facing expression, I'll get this no problem.

Even though I'm not completely satisfied with the look of this figure (a tweak to the eyes would suffice for me), I'll probably end up getting it, which is kind of terrible since it's not released and could be changed, but probably won't and Sideshow will get my money anyway. All things considered, I'd rather have a so-so Beetlejuice than no Beetlejuice and the so-so version can always be modified after the fact.

As much as popular opinion supports changes to the headsculpt and I'd like to think that opinion would carry weight with Sideshow, I presume that "pending approval" means that Sideshow is going with this headsculpt for the final release unless the licensor disapproves.

Maybe there could be a Sideshow exclusive version with a second smirking/mischievous head. It's not like there isn't precedent for second head exclusives (Bossk's alternative snarling head, Hoth Luke's battle-damaged head, etc.) and there'd be nothing lost with respect to the development that's already gone into the prototype.

C'mon, Sideshow, make it happen.

I'm thinking there's too much public opinion in favor of getting the headsculpt expression either modded or sideshow changing up the sculpt entirely. I'm hopeful that sideshow responds according and listens to the fans and customers about what we really want from this product.

I'll be sticking with my Betojuice although it's not quiet Keaton it's cool!

As for sideshow who knows what they could pull off the hands have well hidden joints which is pretty ace..... Even if the sculpt turns out rubbish no tweaks you can always pick up Caines sculpt as his is spot on Keaton!

As for ash though now that is where my money is going so dam beautiful. I kindda wish hot toys would focus less on ironman and marvel and make high end stuff like Dx Beetlejuice, pretty dissapointed with SDCC this year 3 decent announcements Beetlejuice, ash, new mcfly.
