I've never done the cancel re-order with code thing. They don't get pissy about that?

When you cancel, amongst the list of options as to why you're cancelling there's one that reads something like: "Wasn't able to apply new code to order."

The savings are there to be taken, especially when factoring in international delivery and 20% tax on the item and delivery.

Only started with this "cancelling/Re-ordering with coupon" routine recently as I felt priced were going all over the place. At least, it almost pays for shipping and custom fees sting a bit less.

Threepio is now code eligible.

I just cancelled and re-ordered with C3L3BR4T3.

Just did the same thanks for the heads up!

I also have used this method several times now and I'm sure everyone has seen people saying they assume that they put the extra $20 into the price anyway so I have no problem with this method.

You put me 10 points away from another bean!

I figured the same thing. They build coupons into the price, and for everyone who doesn't use one Sideshow chalks it up as a bonus.

OK I broke down and PO'd him using the C3L3BR4T3 code. After seeing him in that video I decided I liked him, was just waiting for coupon eligibility.

Thats R2, CPO, Rex, Chewie and Scout Trooper I got coming now... so far. 2015!!!

Hey - it's a saving I guess.

Is it worth the trouble for Aussie customers though, because it seems they get shafted with the stupidly high shipping price anyway for certain SSC items.

It's only ever worth it for the Exclusive, or when Sideshow have extra special deals.

Importing costs an arm and a leg, but in this case I think the loss of an arm provides a great display option which will differentiate this one even more from the Tamashii...

Sideshow's shipping has always been good for stuff I've ordered though? (All 1/6 stuff). I thought they had a deal with FedEx that made shipping cheaper than bringing anything in via UPS or USPS - ie a larger DX set that'd cost $60-70 to ship with BBTS or the like would cost $40 through Sideshow. The cheaper shipping and RP more than offset the slightly higher sideshow prices.

That's why I was surprised by the shipping calculator price of $74 for R2, which momaw reckons has now dropped to $40. It's likely to drop a bit more come shipping time I'd guess.

The arm is a nice touch but it needs the detached arm as well to make it work.

Forgot the coupons were 1 use only; cancelled six preorders......lol. Of course reordered all but 2. Gonna hold out. Are these coupons every month? to old ones still work other than current? $20 off is free shipping to me...
