Yes but pushes all this stuff to coming on shore around Christmas, which sux!

But arent they using new manufacturing techniques now for the new Clones? Wolffe being one of the first.

SST should have taken this into account when planning the release date. one can count on something being delayed more than released on time these days... something is not working right with their process. as we are their captive forgiving audience, this mismanagement continues...

remember when Return of the Jedi was pushed back because they wanted to simulate high speed hover bikes in a forest for the first time? neither do i.

Which reminds me, I've yet to cancel my PO of the EX. :lol

I ordered this largely cause of the new CW base and droid poppers.
Getting both in the 501st set. :D

The head, hair and eyes are all cast separately and are assembled after they have been painted so there is less paint slop.

Here's a photo from Michael Crawford's site:

That figure at SDCC was supposedly a factory sample, and I think it looks pretty good.

The Luke and Han Hoth figures will also be using this technique and I think they looked spectacular at SDCC.

Wow, thanks for that info! I was going to pass on this since I already have the other 7 Clone Commanders, but now seeing this I really want to have a look at the new technique! The current head sculpts are pretty plain and boring in their paint app, so it'll be great if this new technique provides a better paint job.

No problem! I'm very anxious to see the final results as well. Like I mentioned before, I thought the Han and Luke protos looked phenomenal, and I think the new technique is largely responsible for that.

I think doing the eyes in that different material will make a world of difference. The eyes have been where most of Sideshow's paint apps fall apart (a close second would be stubble). Although maybe doing the hair separately might have been overkill.

Agree on what you said Lou! I am very interested in how this figure is put together. I look forward to his release!

I heard that the armor will be more easily removable. Does anyone have any info about that?

Any news about the ankle joints and a hopeful increase in stability?
