So I've been bitching in the Hoth Solo and Luke threads about my perceived opinion about their crap eyes. I felt I needed to balance my disappointment and negativity by posting in here. I LOVE my probe droid, I have done since I opened it. It makes me happy everyday I see it behind my Snowtrooper. Well done SSC.

Yeah, Probe Droid is an obvious winner.

(I tend to agree that for the money Han & Luke...especially Han...should have been better.)

Both Hot Toys and SSC are inconsistent in terms of their output, but there is no shortage of buyers and not likely to be any time soon. Can't put it more succinctly than that.

You should look for some good batteries and then not worry about leaking. Not sure how old these are, but on all batteries i have in my collectibles I write the date I added them in. I also used to have a special sheet with all the figures/statues that have batteries and the dates they were added in the collectibles and expiring dates, but haven't updated it in a while...

Yeah, branded batteries would be advisable after SSC's junk batteries started to bleed acid into the probot... after a month. Had that happen a lot with non-branded batteries that come with stuff. Brand batteries are really expensive though.:gah:

And a sheet keeping track of collectibles and their batteries dates - that sounds like a pre-kids thing, right?:lol

Performed due diligence and removed all batteries today. They all appear to be in fine condition but who knows when they'll go?

Awaiting the results of Pixelpiper's work so I can Pimp My Probe Droid.

Gotta say I was impressed yet again with this piece as I unpacked it to remove the batteries. Cant wait to display this!

The environment and temperature we all leave our collectibles in certainly has an impact on these batteries. Even though I live in the Caribbean, my display room and apartment is a very mild, moderate climate with no change which certainly helps.

Yeah...my place is very moderate as well, but I figured, why risk it?

That is something I learned from my watchmaker

You never know how old and what quality the batteries are... Better safe than sorry

Does anybody know how to remove the batteries from the bottom ?
The top one's are easy but the bottom ones I don't even know where they are
Ive lost the instructions LOL

is it in here ?

I can't find my booklet for the Probe Droid.
Is there an on/off switch for the lights like the inside of R2D2's done?
Also how do change the batteries for the lights?
Is there a panel to access the batteries?
