Re: New Indy 1:6 from SS?

I voted against a dedicated Indy section back in the day. As big an Indy fan as I am, I didn't think it was sustainable.

It's like an isolated cult making do with what they have to craft an accurate image of their deity.

Unfortunately so far they don't have a lot to work with and it's looking pretty Jamestown.

Re: SSC - Temple of Doom - Indiana Jones

:wave I still visit and check in to see if there's activity in here!

But I also have to agree that the line is pretty dead. Such a shame. And I have to put the blame on less than stellar products, on both the Sideshow and HT sides.

Who knows, maybe Sideshow's TOD Indy will come out fantastic, sell great, and herald a renaissance for the line with all sorts of other figures and formats and props!

Re: SSC - Temple of Doom - Indiana Jones

I remember back in 2008, dept stores being inundated with KOTCS merch.

I don't think I ever saw a quicker shelf to bargain bin transition in all my life. :lol

(..maybe the new A-Team movie 12" figures actually, they were utter ****.)

Re: SSC - Temple of Doom - Indiana Jones

There were A-Team 12" figures? :lol

I found it heartbreaking that the KOTCS went to the bargain bin so quickly. I have to say that Hasbro did give it their all though. Think of all those 3 3/4 figures and playsets they created. But then the hype lost steam so quickly that they didn't even bother releasing that last wave of figures, did they? :(

Re: SSC - Temple of Doom - Indiana Jones

Yeah man, the Liam Neeson Hannibal figure sucked the hardest. :lol

I remember seeing the first few Indy waves, the motorbike sets, Indy & the horse, the cemetery playsets, the Russian soldiers with the truck (?) - most of the series.

Never saw the 12" figures though.

Re: SSC - Temple of Doom - Indiana Jones

One of the 12" figures was a talking Indy whose mouth opened when you pressed the voice button!

Pretty abyssmal and it helped me feel ok about spending $90 on Sideshow's Indy. It was one of my first high end 1:6 figures and I was still struggling with the justification of paying so much. What I wouldn't do to pay as little as $90 for a figure now! :lol

Re: SSC - Temple of Doom - Indiana Jones

So, if this is preordering on Thursday, then pics should be up tonight, right?

Re: SSC - Temple of Doom - Indiana Jones

AH! I was so caught up in that it was the same old picture that I didn't even bother to read the text!

I should have known you wouldn't pull such a cheap stunt, Cavlcade! :duff
