A sane choice! I have ordered him too... a lot of money, but I have a feeling that waiting will only make him more expensive.

He would definitely fit across a couple of Detolfs. I have my old version on three Detolfs spaced a little bit away from each other, along with the Han in Carbonite and archway on either side.
Damn it, it's crazy money (have to find one locally, too, international shipping on this is insane, just shy of $200 US) but I can't say I'm not very tempted. And by a Sideshow piece, no less.

It will definitely fit. I have a similar sized item up on two detolfs now and it fits easily. In fact, I measured for this new Jabba last night.
Nope, no kids in our immediate future. This new year started with a bit of a reduction in our income, so that's the only thing truly holding me back right now. I have no justification to buy this until I rebuild what we lost. But then... it's Jabba, so...

Its an image of a collectors actual dio they made for their original v1 ages ago. He was happy to share it, so i had it printed by a photoshop and laminated. The thing was impressive, had lights and was nearly 4ft long if i remember correctly

So the tongue out look isn't my favorite, but it honestly is another piece that looks better in person. The drool is way to overdone and a bit toony, but the paintwork looks decent, and there's some nice gloss.
An interesting thing with the tongue, it's cast in a different material and well glued to the lower jaw. It feels like a hard hollow plastic (the tongue not the jaw)

Wonder if you could heat the tongue and reshape it then, curve it more downward?

Hmmm, good thought. To me it feels like it might crack, more of an abs plastic. A cool option for the tongue would have been two alternate ones for the open mouth - one short, one long.
Also earlier someone asked if the eyes where decals or painted on. They appear to be painted on, I noticed a bit of a brush stroke, though this could have been for the gloss coat over them.
Everyone's starting to figure out where they'll put this beast. Lot of cursors hovering over that pre-order button.
