Question is price.

With a reboot the Hasbro ones are pretty damn good (even the fabric is better than the current SSC proto version.) I cast my Tusken bandoliers to use for Jawas and made myself a gun.

If the SSC eyes look really cool and the body is well articulated then that would seal the deal. The SSC hands do look nice from what you can see.

Not sure if I want Jawas. I take the batteries out of all figures, so with their light-up eyes permanently unlit they'll look like they're sleep walking.

That's why you plug them into the wall on one of my ACDC adapters. And turn them on by remote.

When it comes time for custom Jawas, hit me up, I've got almost all of it figured out and the parts are way better than Hasbro's, including height-adjustable bodies.

Looking more closely at the pics to me it looks like the fabric should be darker brown, a bit heavier, and in a more tiny square like pattern as opposed to vertical lines. The pouches/straps need some weathering as well. Hopefully just an early proto, I'm glad they are being made.

The pattern on the original (twill) should be diagnonal. But the diagonals are made of horizontal and vertical strands - look at any pair of jeans up close. That's precisely the weave. The color looks fine - it's impossible to discern from photos how close it is to reality.

Decades of wearing them and I just had to look at a pair of jeans up close. I now think you are spot on right.

The two best fabrics I've found so far (for scale and drape) are from a cotton drop cloth (for painting) and flannel pyjama pants (twill weave flannel).

Kind of worried about the light up eyes, SSC already has battery leakage on the Probe Droid, what will these do. They look awesome though.

It's really all parts and supplies right now. I don't think I'll end up building anything for sale, but I'll likely unload parts.
