Wow, how much bigger than the Medi?!

If its that much taller than the Hasbro, it should be good height relative to 3PO.

I think the scale looks great. Is the silver paint on the front of the blue that surrounds R2's eye supposed to try and look like a scrap or is it an application flaw? I think it looks horrible. Everything else looks very nice.

You know, I almost bought the Medi, over a year ago. Dodged an underscaled bullet, there.

Glad I pre-ordered this droid. SSC humans and trooper bodies irritate me, but their droids are looking to be favourites.

Dammit. I had already convinced myself I didn't need this guy, but seeing this comparison pic I'm just blown away by how much better he looks than anything released before.

And yeah that Hasbro R2 does look awfully crappy now (even without the weird yellow tint).

It definitely retracts when R2 is riding shotgun in an X-wing - space is COLD.

I don't want this figure anymore for my own collection/display, I even cancelled my pre-order. But I think I'm going to have to get it anyway, just to check out how it and the table are wired up and how the batteries fit.

Haha. But no, it's definitely the clean (older) one with a lot of yellowed plastic. I have the electronic/weathered one sitting 4 feet away from me and is has a very distinctive paint application, including that giant grey/silver drip.
