Hmm.

R2 seems a little undersized...

Here's mine with my Bandai 3PO... And I agree with Darth Fok that it does feel a little flimsy... Though I guess next to the diecast 3PO it's not really a fair comparison.

Nice use of the Tony Stark stage!

Thanks! I couldn't quite figure out how to display them together and I didn't want to to have the Threepio displayed without any support because it's so heavy and it was *my* wife that suggested it. Not quite as cool as being married to an R2 builder, but I'll take it :)

Where are people getting these little autograph plates? I missed that memo.

There's a guy on Rebel Scum and the RPF with the username Freezle-Nuts who makes awesome display plaques to your specifications... I had him make a few for me and then had them autographed at various cons.

Replacement dome to arrive tomorrow :yess:

Thinking of buying a second locally and doing the anti-weathering mod. Dirty R2 with SS Threepio and semi cleaned with Bespin Luke. Gonna test clean my damaged Dome before destroying.

Mine arrived today. Yah

Dome rear projector thing busted. Boo

This is holding me back from ordering one. I held off incase there were quality control issues. I do want one, but I am scared of it arriving broken from overseas. Shocking to have such fears for a model that costs £100+

Wor gar. My first. Going to try and fit it. I can't believe how flimsy it feels. I had the Medicom one and sold it for this. Wondering if I made the right decision.

I have a Hasbro. THAT feels flimsy, but it's probably over fifteen years old, it's still doing fine. I think the Sideshow R2 will be just fine over time.

Is it true that you have to remove the dome every time you want to turn it on/off otherwise it will drain the battery?

No. Unless there's a serious problem with the way the circuit was designed/implemented (which I doubt), you shouldn't have to do that. But like anything that has a battery, if you're not going to use it for a long period of time, you should remove the batteries in case of discharge/leakage.

It looks great and I be managed to repair it but I'm dissapointed at the moment. Maybe as I fiddle with it that will change. I was so looking forward to this
