Is this a known issue? I'm thinking about picking him up.

Generally, the doors staying ajar is typically due to the position of the droid-arm inside the compartment. In my R2, I have to have the arms positioned up/down in a certain position for the doors to close properly. There was some discussion earlier in the thread, and that seemed to be the consensus.

Hmmm... That's enough to make me reconsider... Thanks for the info.

Think Geek is running their sale again... 25% off if you wanna pick him up at a discount. add something to the cart that pushes the total price over $150 (he's $149.95) and the discount jumps to 30%.

Looking at him he looks great, and when his lights go on, he looks amazing. As many others have posted the light weight and flimsiness of the body may be a put off, but past that he is quite cool. I would recommend him. Here he is with Ben.

If you're going through the effort, how about releasing one with more accurately colored blue panels?

This might sell to all those collectors that solely want astromech droids and want to paint them all the colors of the rainbow? :dunno

I know this picture doesn't really show R2 but I have him currently working in the Cantina serving Holiday Drinks to all the troops that stop by.

:wink1:

Had a Stormtrooper stop by today and buy a round for the boys. Awfully nice of him.

If I was going to get another Astromech I'd probably go with R2-Q5. I guess I am getting R5-D4 but it's a different color plus a different dome.
