Went ahead and ordered the EX--stupid "only XX remaining" gets me everytime. I need to stop looking at Sideshow's site late at night--apparently I have no willpower after 10pm.

Yup, they don't mention there are a few thousand of the non-EX still available. 
Thanks for mentioning this, Rambler! I cancelled and re-ordered with the code. There are less than 40 pre-orders remaining for R2, so looks like I got to it just in time. Feels great to get another $20.00 off this figure.

Sideshow's gotta see what's going on with the coupons, especially with what's happening with R2. They have to have seen a sudden surge of sales as soon as the coupon went up! They should see that customers feel the prices are too high and that we're all waiting on coupons to make any purchase! Of course, that could also mean that they will anticipate that and price everything $20 higher than normal because they know we'll be using the $20 off coupons!

I've wondered that myself. There is a department store here in Wisconsin that sends out coupons every month to people that have a store credit card. They are for either 15%, 20% or 30%. Me and my wife ONLY shop there if we get a 30% coupon. Plus that coupon can be used on sale items. Sometimes you will "Save" more than you actually spend. I don't think I've ever bought anything there at full price.
The department store does just fine by doing this sale with coupons all the time, so its apparent their normal prices are TOO high.
So these coupons must not affect SSC at all if they keep issuing them.

I'm sure they raised the prices a bit to account for the coupons as well as the fact that you now get rewards points on the dollar sale remaining. Where as previously you did not get any of the reward points if you used a coupon now you do. It's all built into the price. When people think they are getting a deal they flock to buy. Compare sales adds for most commodities. Get 40% off plas and extra 10%. Or get 50% off. Or get 25% off plus an extra 15 %. Plus I am sure there are people out there not aware of the coupons and ordering at full price All just different ways to promote what somehow works out to the same pricing but it really drives sales. I've no doubt all the coupage and what not has really helped increase sales for SS. Nothing wrong with it as it's business as usual just be aware of what you are spending your money on. It's the buyers responsibility...
