The exclusive is certain to convert to a live order. You just can't use a coupon on him anymore.
given the shortness of the Hasbro and Medi R2s, I'm assuming SSC will not make the same mistake.) Artoo really is pretty tall...
They did make the same mistake, only not as egregious.

No, current consensus is Tamashii is not going to happen. Even if Tamashii or HT release the ultimate 1:6 scale R2 with a spun aluminium dome, it's going to be years from now. The regular SSC R2 is $130.00 with a $20 off coupon, essentially 'dirt cheap' in this hobby, so I'd get it, if I were you. You can always find a spot for R2 if a better version comes out.So, is anybody still holding out for the Tamshii Nation version? I'm not familiar enough with either version to know which one to go for. I know the Tamashii Nations C3PO is supposed to be excellent.

Excellent, thanks for the info. So, is the general consensus that the Tamashii C3PO should still ne superior to whatever SS eventually releases? After watching a review, I'm not sure I can ever see how it could be improved upon. Perhaps SS version will be more weathered ?
Tamashii's definitely my favourite and I feel no need to grab SSC's, but it's just a preference. A lot of people will prefer SSC's because it will be a weathered version of 3PO as opposed to clean and quite a few collectors don't like diecast. Only nitpick I have of Tamashii's is that the pistons are oversized, but it never bugged me in pictures and doesn't in-hand. I paid $400.00 for it and consider it well spent, but I routinely see people letting it go for a lot less. If you can find a good deal and like what you've seen in the Tamashii thread, I'd go for it.Excellent, thanks for the info. Well, I think you guys have me convinced to go for the Tamashii C3PO! I wonder why people are selling this bad boy off at such a deep discount? Where's the love?
Well, joined the waitlist for the EX. Hopefully I can get him.
You will convert for sure. I got on the WL on Tuesday, and got a conversion the next day.
