It's quite good to have the jacket on the figure to test the 'pulling in' stage... this lets you know how much to do it, and what effect it will have on how the jacket looks. Once done, obviously this is repeated for the other side.

Hope this helps..... a bit :lol

Amazing work darren as usual :gun

I really like to see all your tricks in order to improve your 12" (thanks again for sharing). The clothes positionning are my main problem and appeal to the glue it's a great solution.

I took this body but the shoulders are too broad, the sleeves become too short.

Otherwise I just play with lighting.

It's a nice repaint, but it's the image lighting that sets it apart, the shadow and light are creating a strong, intense look on the face which we haven't seen much yet.

True, the dramatic lighting adds to the effect, but I still think few repainters can reach this level.

Here are some more photos of his work with clear light.
Also few dare to post these kind of close up photos of their work.

You can also see how clean and round he has painted the eyes.
Brilliant if you ask me :)

It's a great paint job, don't get me wrong, I just think a lot of the magic is that the lighting adds a great deal of emotion and impact to those images. The pics you just posted compared to the dramatic lighting ones have less a visual impact. A lot of repaints seen so far haven't been lit in ways that he looks like Harrison and show great painting skills, but haven't used the forms of the sculpt to capture different moods.

It's another talent of Trev's that a lot of his sculpts can carry a great range of emotion just by changing lighting. All sculpts can do that to an extent but some of his stuff, like Old Ben can look very sad almost in some images and sternly focused in others, it's incredible, and his Indy seems to be the same. In hand under average light, it doesn't even seem capable of looking intense, yet the lighting in those repaint shots really amp his emotion up.

If you know how to use, to manipulate light, you can make things (or people) more attractive.
In a way it is a sort of deceiving I think.

That is why I always prefer bright (clinical) lighting when a repaint or new product is shown.

I completely agree this sculpt is a winner, had my doubts in the months ahead when I placed my pre-order, but now it is one of my favourites.
What a marvelous surprise :)

Unfortunately, the power of some of Trev's recent sculpts has been lost in paint app quality, his ANH Han and Luke are better than paint lets on, Indy's pretty good but for the beard paint, but that's critical with the sculpt because it can alter the perception of the overall face.

I'm looking to get the hat head repainted. Anyone offering repaints? If so, shoot me a pm with a pic please.

If by clinical you're meaning fluorescent lighting, that can sometimes make things look washed out, pale, considerably off and less than appealing. I've found that natural daylight often makes the perfect middleground as it's bright enough to reveal any inadequacies yet not so bright that it bleaches out details or colors.

All the paint applications i have seen so far have been pretty good. Its hard to take a digital photo and get it to show all the natural colors of a painted sculpt. The colors either come out to daul or to vibrant.

By clinical I meant neutral (was thinking too much in my own language were we use "klinisch" meaning to say "without emotion"), not the tl lamps in an hospital.

Thanks all for your congratulations.

My last update, it's far to be finish.

Honestly i am not very happy with the result, my proportions body are false, the head seems to be too big and it's the truth, i have to widen the legs and as a consequence the pants. I have to rework on many things and of course fix the neck

I have to say, there is nothing wrong with your figure. If my Indy loked anywhere near that I'd be very happy indeed ! As it is, the figure is not with me it is being replaced due to several issue with the clothing / body etc. :(
