They are pricing themselves out sooo badly though. $200+ for a 1/6ish statue, when for just a little more you can have a nice Sideshow piece

Because Randy Bowen is one of the main reasons why comic statues are what they are today. He arguably revolutionized the industry.

Bowen definitely has his glory days but honestly save the hardcore fan I believe those days have passed especially with his recent pricing and kind of lackluster showings compared to say three years ago where it was like he was spinning gold. It's about Medicom pricing ridiculous at this point.

At one time it was great. but Sideshow is easily more "bang for the buck", and dare I say, I believe Koto is in the process of surpassing bowen as well. Maybe not in quantity, but definitely in the quality, and the ability to finish a team set in a timely fashion

I absolutely Agree with this. The last Bowen I bought was the Ghost Rider on Motorcycle. Let's be honest. When was the last Bowen Statue that actually had the details he used to put into them? 5 years ago? More? It's the Same thing for DCD, I sold off all of that stuff because the price wasn't matching the quality.

If collectors like BD, there is no reason for people here to slam BD or the people that like BD products. There are plenty of hits and misses with both SSC and BD. Buy what you like, pass on what you don't like.

Of course. I have no hate for SSC product. I love my Sideshow pieces. I also love the BD pieces I own. I don't understand why you are forced to fawn over SSC here and bash BD. Both companies produce good stuff. Why should any collector not be allowed to like both companies on this board. That's what I think is infantile. Do you really think that ALL SS pieces are excellent? Emma PF, Bullseye com, Colossus com, Beast com, etc....

Those were all SS pieces I thought were subpar and could have been much better. I have passed on many BD pieces as well for the same reason. As I have said, both companies have their hits and misses. However, only BD products get the majority of hate here. It's old already. There are many of us here that collect from both companies.

You're just as tired of hearing Bowen bashing as we are of Bowen cheerleaders shaking their pompoms in Sideshow threads. Why would you bring up Bowen in a thread about Sideshow then if you didn't want bashing? You can't make a DC Bowen thread? Or is it that you feel some false sense of entitlement?
