Even in dim to-no lighting it's more blue-ish/dark purple-ish than it is black.

The only time in the game when gets a tinge of blue to him is when he's standing near those blue/white flood lights. Thats why I'm trying to tell you it the lighting. But go ahead and believe what you like.

Yeah, you too. Anyways I'm glad they'll be making product from the games, hope we get 1/6 killer croc, bane, Grundy, etc. (as well as 1/4)

I don't like taking sides but Josh is defiantly right about the Arkham suit being black and grey. I know it looks dark blue and grey too sometimes but it is just a lighting effect. But anyways I am very happy about this announcement and hope we get a 1/4 Batman out of this license.

Han's coat is blue. :lecture

I doubt that they'll take HT head on by going 1:6.

I'm betting on 1:4 PF and/or maquettes. Anyone savvy for legendary scale busts??

I don't mean competing. What if Hot Toys lost or rescinded the option?

I am pretty sure SSC and Hot Toys are partners and the former helps the latter obtain licenses. Not sure where this idea that they swiped the license from Hot Toys comes from.

Their partnership is mainly distribution. I was speculating since Hot Toys announced they had it quite some time ago. They've done nothing with it.

Again, reflected lighting. Go into any challenge map and take a look at the costume, or just stare at the main screen of Arkham City. Whichever.

Just took this with my phone.

Black doesn't reflect blue to that extent. His chest symbol always remains black. Even the box art makes it very clear thst it is dark blue.

The light reflection has little to do with the color black and more so to do with the amont of gloss or sheen on the object. Go bsck on page and look at the last image that was given. The bat symbol is reflecting blue light. You can see it in the highlights on his chest. However since it has a more matte finish than the cowl it is reflecting less blue. Light refraction on highy glossed black areas such as the hood of a black car can seem almost mirror like. So no, it doesn't mean it's dark blue.

Ha! You're both right! "Put your guns away huh guys?" What movie!?

Not to add fuel to the fire but I remember reading from the designer's themselves that his costume was Black and Grey and that it looked Blue from lighting. Looked online for a few minutes but couldn't find the article.
