Anyone else want to do a Batman timeline of sorts ? With Keaton, Bale, Affleck..

I'm really tempted to. Have Bale Batman on order and am planning to pre-order Armored Bats once a discount can be used. Would only have to track down a Keaton Bats. Hoping for a non-armored version of Affleck though. Would jive better.

So glad I don't have to order this. Hated the movie. As others said it wasn't Ben's fault, but the writers should be strung up by their bits.

But did you hate Batman in the movie? If not, and you like the suit dont let the overall movie affect your decision. The fight scene in the suit was pretty good. Personally I love the "Well, Here I am" frame. Just sayin'

I did not like how he was characterized. Ben did what could with what he was given but to me that wasn't Batman.

They could've just pick a new actor, fresh face. Like how 300 introduce Gerald Butler.

Yeah, they should have hired some comic writers to collaborate on the script. The monologues lacked power and emotion. Sometimes I felt as if the dialogue was on autopilot. The cast was disappointing. I thought Cavil, Affleck, Lane, and Irons did a good job, but everyone else just didn't fit their character. Affleck's Batman was definitely better than his Bruce Wayne. It's funny 'cause I thought the exact opposite with Bale.

Yea batfleck was fine, writing sucked, directing sucked. Maybe if batfleck does his own movie, it would make me want his statue more. As for now, not a must for me.

The two things the movie had that I thought were very well done were the two characters you saw the least; Irons as Alfred and Gaddot as Wonder Woman.

And I've been saying for years, the two guys to have on a DC comic movie writing team are Paul Dini and Bruce Tim. They both know the characters and both have script writing experience.

I can see how the movie might not work for everyone, even if I really loved it (seen it 4 times). The character inaccuracies are smaller than in the Burton movies though and those are widely loved somehow. But the pacing is weird and Batman got quite murdery again. Apart from that I have nothing to complain.

How you can look at that film and say its direction sucked only shows how little people know about what direction actually means. And visually this is one of the best comic book movies ever. You can make a wallpaper out of every shot. I also think Dini and Timm are a bit overrated. They did great animated shows, but thats something entirely different and there have been a lot of writers who wrote these characters better. Timm himself said time and time again that he wouldn't be able to do live action, since it is completely different. If you wanna bring on a comic writer to work on the script I would get excited about Morrison. Apparently Geoff Johns works with Affleck on the solo film. He can do great work, but is more hit and miss recently.
Anyway, I am pumped to get this PF. My most anticipated piece now.

Considering it took about ten years before sideshow announced a Bale bats (and even longer for Keaton). In light of the quick announcement of the armoured Bats, can we now assume that more Affleck Bats will appear this year? There is the potential for 3 more: regular suit, knightmare and battle damaged armour. I would also like if they improved upon their Man of Steel Superman figure and released a version from this new film. Perhaps with heat vision and a sculpt referencing the pre fight rained on look with the curl in the hair.

Keaton.
I don't think were gonna see SS pump out that much cinematic Batman [Affleck]. Definitely a regular suit, a big maybe on Knightmare and definitely no on a battle damage armor, did not sustain enough damage to create a whole new PF (a dented chest plate and broken cowl). Those would've been good as an EX to this piece.

(Thanks, Jpuli28 - I corrected my horrendous spelling mishap)

I agree with the view about an additional damaged armour cowl. I would love a Knightmare version. I suspect we will see the regular suit before that.

Timm I would want there simple because he knows how to inject subtle underlying themes into a story. Don't underestimate Dini. The guy has written for both live action and animated TV, film, videogames(arkham asylum and arkham city) and of course comics

I might be one of the only people in the world who didnt like the lego movie, found it boring. So the Lego Batman movie doesnt have me excited.

I fell asleep watching the LEGO movie on a plane. I didn't find it very interesting. I really enjoy most Pixar and Disney movies. I found The LEGO Batman trailer extremely boring. Didn't even make me chuckle.
