Likeness is not right. Detailed, but not realistic to the level of what you can get now. I was hoping for a better sculpt.

Likeness is good but still not quite there in my opinion. Don't think you can beat Betos new Ash, but unfortunately im having to sell it!
If anyone wants it let me know.

Only thing really bugging me about the prototype is the bizarre "fangs" on his torso. Otherwise, I agree. Unfortunately, this is Sideshow, and a prototype, so I'm not getting overly excited yet.

I haven't tried it yet, but I've been meaning too... but I'm pretty certain if you took a sharp exacto knife to the fangs you could easily remove them w/o it looking odd. I've got a body that will be fully covered, so I'll give that a shot in the next day or so and report back :duff

Would you commit to this with NRD at the moment? I wouldn't.
I wouldn't put an NRD down on anything from SSC that I wasn't convinced would be truly limited (like, for example, Hot Toys "promo" figures). Even if there is an Ex. here, it will be a TBD edition size, and will be available long after it comes in-stock. So, I'll wait and see what it looks like in-hand. But if I knew with certainty it would look like the prototype, I would pre-order in a second, with NRD, even if it was $225 or so.

I'll be curious to see what happens! Unfortunately, I suspect there is a good reason for it being there. Maybe it adds additional support so that the figure doesn't slump backwards, since SSC bodies tend to be loose in some areas.

It wouldn't affect slumping back, but maybe forward. However, of the three of that style body I've had none have had any issues with loose joints. If anything the joints are a bit stiff. I think it was a purely aesthetic choice to have something that looked more natural opposed to the straight across cut of other muscle bodies. It just didn't work that well and is more distracting than helpful.

What is with the chest fangs? Now I can't stop looking at just that!!! I really want this one, but Sideshow's final product is always too far behind their protos - will wait for final product before deciding on this one...

I don't think it has any function. I think it was done for aesthetic reasons. Trying to make a more fluid transition from chest to abdomen. Sadly, it failed. Not that SS cares, but I appreciate many of the attempts SS makes at improving their figures. I know some of these "innovations" are done to save money, but these one doesn't appear it would make a difference moneywise it just looks ugly.
