Gotta say I think Sideshow really did a great job here... and in the last shots the chainsaw looks to be about the right size too, maybe the blade could be a bit thicker, but I'm in. Worst case scenario I can repaint/fix any issues but hopefully Sideshow can just deliver a solid figure

Nope, at most Sideshow produced a few figures at around 10,000, but that was many years ago. Although it's possible the few earlier 1/6 figures they had in mass market stores may have numbers like that. But even the most popular figures now are an ES of 5,000 to 7,000.

If I were a betting man I'd say Ash will be more in the 5,000 range.

I don't think so. A few cool Aliens items aside, they have become the repaint, reuse kings, worse than Mezco. Their Videogame repaints are a joke, and only make them look cheap and desperate, a far cry from the hungry company they were when they began.

I have the neca mego ash and I just plain hate it. If it weren't for the fact that I had my LCS put it aside for me, I would have refused to buy it but I did because I felt bad.

Just that from what I recall, the protos we were shown were a lot nicer looking than what we were given. I could be wrong though.

Looking at the pics of this figure again, I am really loving the weathering. The Remington in particular looks brilliant, the wood grain looks so real. I'm hoping that the final product looks as good.
