I do like the facial expression on this cap

I like the pose, but it's from the neck up that bothers me most, which is kind of a big deal.

The color and the lines around the mask. That's what gets me.

I’m curious what the es will be. High es will only encourage more made up costumes. Maybe the A list characters just sell regardless of the costume.

Thats it right there. After the “backlash” from deathstroke and black cat in their SS costumes its clear it didnt hurt them that they need to go back in classic outfits. Its only the ones in forums that have a problem with it. General clients like it. They just keep selling. My best guess

Not everyone wants 40 year old costumes.
While I wasn't a fan of black cat I think this is a great modernized look for him.

Agreed. Agreed.

If the high ES continues to sell well, more modern costumes are on the way. It's a vicious cycle.

Sometimes I think course correction is a slow process for SSC. Their lead time for each statue seems to be a long one ...and they may already have decided on a course on some of these pieces before they heard complaints about their costume choices. So I'm thinking we'll see a few crazy costumes before they can change their course ...and that's if they decide to change their course.

I wouldn't if sideshow already gave us another classic Cap PF. A decade is a long time to wait. So yeah, scrap this made up stuff and hit me with the classics. Then they can put Cap in a dress with their next PF for all I care.

They could of had zero plans to do those characters though...

But you are saying you don't care that they are doing this cap, you care that they didn't finish those lines? So if they announced tomorrow that they were doing classic 1/4 wasp and ant man to get the basic avengers.... you would no longer want this piece removed from the slate?

They just **** out a modern Wasp that’s 1/5 scale

It’s just become so ****ing stupid with all the stopping and starting. They’ve done the X-Men and JLA the same way. No Beast, Iceman, or Angel, but let’s put out another Wolverine with no ties to anything. No Flash or Martian Manhunter, but let’s do another set of the Trinity from a reboot that’s already dead in the comics
