Yeah I noticed that as well, I feel bad when they throw them into these Livestreams, I used to see it on the Hasbro livestreams when I paid attention to those. If anything, have them film a prerecorded clip or something.

Regardless he should be proud of the work he made, this thing is gorgeous.

IMO asking artists how or why they did stuff is like going up to a physicist and asking How did you do those calculations? He did them because he's a physicist, duh. Artists do art stuff because they're... artists.

Rex is such an elegant piece. I cant wait to own this.

I wasn't too sure about this piece based on the early concept art, but the execution was done very, very well. Kudos to sideshow on all 3 recent PFs. They knocked them out of the park

Right? They've had some stinkers over the years, but for them to really blow 3 straight pieces out of the water like this. It is very impressive.

And here we were talking about watching what we buy and regretting our purchases a few days ago...

This is a great looking action PF. I’ll be sticking with my MYC Rex, I think it captures the end of the CW really well. Plus all the switch-outs are nice.

This would look good next to the OG Commander Cody pose and with the PO nearing, maybe they can revisit him again next.

I’ve always said a 1/4 Order 66 Cody statue is one of the few pieces that I’m surprised doesn’t exist. It’s only one of the most lasting images of the entire PT

Is my plan actually, two pedastals for each of them with a larger clone trooper art print above them or an individual one for Rex and Cody.

I have the pedastals, now I just need Rex..the art prints..

..and room.

Lmao right, good thing I was preparing for him and Mace, sold off some old PFs in storage and had reward points saved up.

Still this is a bit of a dent in the wallet.

When I saw the price, I had to stop myself from gasping with horror because my husband was driving at the time and I dont want him seeing the price on this. At all. Ever.

I hope SSC knows that if they want to charge Iron Studios prices, that expectations of IS quality are going to follow.

I'm not going to pretend otherwise: its likely that I will buy this. I am going to think it over until next payday, though. This is a hugely irresponsible purchase. HUGE. And yet, I have a feeling in a few years that its going to be one of those grail pieces people moan about skipping. This is one of the most beautiful SW statues that I have ever seen.

I also have a tendency to cancel statue POs. I cancelled Vader Mythos [and I'm still sad about it! Very sad] because I just had too much going on with HT at the time. I cancelled the Olivia Frankie Reborn because I hated the production facepaint. Rex's down payment is not something I can just shrug off. Careful thought is needed.

I'm also a little worried about it actually dropping this fall. That's too soon for a piece with this price point. Luckily I think this has small chance of happening.

The feedback on the Book of Faces that I have seen so far is pretty much "LOL" at the pricing. People are in agreement that this is a fabulous statue. One that is *ridiculously* overpriced. A lot of people seem not to be rushing in.

About $100 more than I expected and I hate that there's a pretty rich light up feature that I'll practically never use that is likely justifying the near $1K price point. It is a darned nice looking statue though...
