I really don't know if I care about this. I will have to wait to see how good the sculpt is. I was expecting a new Luke soon but this sure as hell wasn't the one. I guess they could always use this same head sculpt for a Tattoine and X-Wing Luke though.

I agree. This isn't really a variant. It's not even the same movie as the previous Luke. Anakin/Vader counted because it was the exact same figure with different colored eyes.

I was thinking it's a Luke that someone can pass on if they wanted since some will either want the ROTJ one or the Farmboy.

Josh is right, 'cause when they make the eventual Farmboy and X-Wing Lukes they will almost surely use the same headsculpt as this one. So it's not a variant YET but it most likely will be.

Well, ROTJ is too far removed for the Yavin Luke to be a variant, but I agree that this can be a variant of Tatooine Luke because they would share identical head sculpts.

Which makes me wonder...will that be the next 1/6 scale announcement? They have the sculpt, and they've already made the outfit in PF scale, so I imagine scaling down wouldn't be too hard...

Gotcha, I thought you were saying there will be a regularly distributed version. I have to say, the dio is just as I expected, a classic image moment, and likely to be a great looking piece, but not likely something that would immediately have come to people's minds.

I'm excited about this piece for sure. I would have liked the X-Wing version before but hey it's an new main guy announcement. Which is a good thing.
