Opened up my Deadpool today, perfect condition except one minor thing: the leather strap atop the knife is broke. Looks like the glue holding it together just fell apart.

Easy fix, but what kind of glue should I use on leather? Will gorilla glue work?

I had the exact same problem and when I was speaking to someone at sideshow they advised me to use a glue called Zap-a-gap. I'v found it on amazon. They said hobby shops should have it as well.

Damn thats true didnt even think of that, now Im more excited!!! :panic:

I was just thinking about this the other day. Wonder if SSC would release that particular #98 to the public. If I was you no matter your current display. I would seek out a 9.8 graded (see what I did there...;)) comic and make that your display. Man you so lucky to get # 98. That definitely makes it a little more special to me and I think a few others would agree.

Man cant wait for mine! I had to flex it:mad:, on a different note anyone know whats a really good series to read for deadpool one that goes into history how how he became like deadpool? Havent read anything on deadpool yet and wanan look into getting some TPB!

:clap:clap:clap This is one truly awesome statue..1 of the top 10 statues ever produced by Sideshow in my opinion...proportions, symmetry, aesthetic appeal, design, paint application..everything damn near perfect :clap:clap:clap

I agree it really is something special. Congrats bud. It's my first SS piece ever. What a way to start. I am worried future piece just won't live up to it lol.

Quick question. Can you use the standard air canisters that you use to clean keyboards and such on these statues. Was wondering if they had any chemicals in them that could be harmful to the paint or are they just air?

Thanks.

Seeing deadpool and poison ivy at my local comic shop makes me believe that sideshow should only do full sculpted statues, with small fabric parts like the pouches on deadpool. Those full sculpted statues look so amazing!! All my PFs have fabric outfits on them and do not look nearly as good - with the exception of Dutch PF which is amazing with fabric.

The fabric usually conceals the amazing sculpt underneath and gives the appearance of an oversized barbie doll

Now imagine if SS used a fabric costume for Deadpool. It works for some. Others not so much. The mixed media used on Deadpool is perfect IMO.
