If you have legitimate concerns for returns/replacements then trust in the system. But if you're the type of person that's a worry wart or a nervous Nancy and all you can do is sit there and bombard them with constant follow-up email and phone calls without giving them the requested amount of time to deal with your concern step-by-step in accordance with their standard procedures or personal instructions and direction then that's on you. You're probably prolonging the process yourself.
The problem is in addition to people who want the process over faster than is reasonably conceivable is people who scam and fraud them and people who have gripes like replacement shipper boxes. It doesn't hurt to ask but once you know how the returns/damage process works it should make dealing with it easier. If you don't like it then don't bother dealing with them.
