Congrats Fremen, Medusa looks amazing. Hopefully I will get mine in soon.

Also the ARH Thor is amazing in person, you will not be disappointed.
I want Athena but space is always an issue now.

Do you have the Thor sidermonkey? I guess you must.

More pics because she's awesome.

You can see how tall she is compared to others here.

WOW! Makes me want to move her and take more pics under my lights! It looks amazing with all the others!
Looks like your enjoying her very much :)

Question for you, now that you have her. Should we have made the column solid? I heard a few guys say that this statue was hollow and not heavy enough!
LOL! I laugh because, I cant imagine moving her if she was 20-30 more! Can you? She is already pushing 40+!!

I can never understand why people care more about the statues weighing more, since it's the final product that should matter. Imagine the cost of shipping on her if she had been a solid piece and like Averone said about trying to move such a heavy piece.

Shes been sitting on my kitchen table for 2 days now cause i dont want to move her. So ya shes heavy enough and well i cant stop staring at her. Just wow

I do like solid pieces and tend to stay away from the life sized busts because they are hollow. Yes, it's strange but I can't help it.

With this piece though, her top half is solid and her body and base is heavy enough that it doesn't bother me. She 'looks' heavy.

I just can't stop looking at this piece. I knew she was nice from pics but in person, WOW.

Her paint is so beautiful and she's just so gorgeous I could care less about the weight which says something about this sculpt right there.

I did hear someone say that Athena was quite heavy so I'm assuming she's a pretty solid piece which leads me to believe you guys are casting most of your pieces solid. Right?

The logistics and transport of these makes manufacturing pure 100% pieces impossible at this time.
If we added weight and material we would have charged customers more of this statue. You also would have been paying even more for the shipping. As you know, shipping on this was not cheap by any standard comparable statue. So our options were limited and we were pushing the boundaries as is.

All current manufactures use hollow, semi-hollow techniques to save. We will not be an exception, and logically you understand why. Our new statues and dioramas will be incredible but if we make them too heavy then not only we will price ourself out of the market but also make them so heavy that you will not be able to move them :slap
(Dont forget something solid will brake much more easily then something semi-hollow with some flexibility)

As Fremen noticed, the weight was properly distributed on the Medusa. We will do the same with the other "big" statues.
They will have some weight to them but cannot be %100 solid.
(The Athena is heavy because of the massive base she has, and Thor is just big and thick)

Maybe you're taking me too literally here Ave.

Lets look at SS statues for a second. Their Black Panther, horrible hollow feeling piece. Most of their PF's 'Feel' solid. I understand that you and they will not cast pieces that are 100% solid but to have it mostly solid is what I'm talking about. Like the stop half of Medusa. She feels solid. This is what I mean.

Oh yes, understood
Yes no BP

Great review. What is it with so many guys being afraid of snakes? I love snakes.

I wonder how many snakes are on her head. Anyone tried to count? There's so many.

Omg I am so jealous ..... AP is a faile for me

:thud:

Here is what happened with the AP:

1. The factory delayed shipping all the AP for 25 after we had them ready, due to the 15 day Chinese holiday
2. The shipping we collected long ago from all AP buyers was way below actual cost of shipping @ $65.00 so we had to go with the cheapest shipping possible from China (Not your fault, but ship otherwise would be $350.00+ for each statue and made it impossible)
3. It takes normal shipping by boat one and half month to get to USA (shipping of AP was 10 days after the end of China new year) so we are right on schedule
4. We have no idea how long customs takes, sometimes longer than we all want

So you see, these are the delays. There was not much else anyone, Arahom or I could do. I know this AP experience has not be a great one, and Im very sorry for it. I just hope you are happy with the end results

I received mine today :) All I can say is wow! Visually the most impressive statue I have in my collection by far. Amazing job ARH! Oh and thanks for the unboxing video averone. It helped a lot when it came unpacking time.

Lucky #1! I looked in the box for a cookie but no dice haha.

Mine does have some issues though. Not sure if anyone else ran into this but mine has this sticky white putty type material on the bottom of the tail with some of it coming up the back. What the heck is it? I tried getting some of it off but it is stuck on there pretty good. Anyone have any advice?

She also has a scratch on the left corner of her lip. It is smooth to the touch but gives her kind of a joker type look.

WOW a #1!!
Nice pics, how noticeable is the scratch? From the picture you cant see too much. I wonder if its just some of the glue on the bottom of the tail , I know you cant see it when she is on display....yet it should come off. Dont rub it with any chemicals. Send the pics to ARH to ask whats the best way to get it off.

The scratch is pretty noticeable. It is almost impossible to capture it with the camera I have though.

Glue would sound about right lol. I tried to use a microfiber cloth and the fibers stuck to it. The bottom is not really a big deal but it splattered over onto viewable parts of the body. Thankfully it is not as heavy on the viewable parts and I was able to get some of it off by delicately picking at it with a soft cloth but some of the dark green paint started to wear off so I stopped.

Thanks for the suggestion averone. I will send ARH some pictures and see what they can come up with.
