Awww crap, didn't realise it was that heavy! My mum ain't gonna be too happy that I bought such a massive piece and now she's gonna have to help me too? lol. I can just hear the nagging. :slap:rotfl

:lol
I hope you dont need to ask mum for help!

hello fellow statue collectors can anyone tell me if this statues size and weight is being changed by sideshow compared to the original medusa

Confirmed, that the size is just a tad smaller than the Medusa Master, but its only by a slight margin.
I would go with the Sideshows measurements right now.

Once we have the AP in hand I will put up the exact measurements.

Awww, I was hoping you guys would keep this piece huge. Those preview pics were amazing and the size is just amazing.

What you saw at SDCC IS the exact Medusa you are getting from Sideshow.
The size has not been reduced

Oh, cool then. I thought you were referring to the proto you had as SDCC as the Master. I guess there is reduction when you cast the production pieces from the Master Mold?! :dunno

Exactly! :exactly: You are correct sir!

The one you saw at the show was NOT the master! That is the cast production straight from factory. Quality and size on your copy will be the same as the one in SDCC

Hope you enjoy her! I cannot wait to see some photos in peoples collections! :)

For what you get in the piece, I don't really think it's that expensive. The size and weight is huge, the detail is amazing and it is a very low ES. SSC Maquettes are usually $1000+ and they're not much bigger and definitely don't have as much involved to them.

Alex if you could pass on to Arahom that we love the Thor exclusive and if he could try to not have print/nameplate only exclusives. Respectfully, it's only a suggestion.

You know I tend to agree with you, there have been plenty of arguments.
We are not dumb or ignorant, we calculated what the costs are and we can bring to market a statue that will bring joy to collectors of high end collectables. Medusa is unique and can even be displayed in a museum of history and mythology.

What we are making is just a start, if you follow our history of our small but growing company you will see we are improving very rapidly.

I wanted to show you that if you love Medusa but you are unwilling to spend that kind of money, there is a great alternative available to you.

Again, we do high end collectables so not everyone can afford what we make, we just are making sure we cover all the bases!

Thanks again for your support

LOL!!
Yes sure, but believe it or not Sideshow appreciates name plates prints!
We did it to please them!

My suggestion is to make another color or something different in the future

BTW, the Thor EX has 2 separate and unique God hammers, AND the print. We did that just for Sideshow and only for our AP's

You do have to realize a print costs next to nothing to produce, but something like a FB set cost money as it has to be sculpted digitally

So the value of a different sculpt is more.

Fuzzy Im a collector and I am with you on this. We will work on it, but with approval from Sideshow.

Awesome, yeah I figured Sideshow had something to do with that. Great job on sneaking the Thor exclusive in. That's an exclusive really worth getting. I'm sure collectors won't mind paying a little more for good exclusives. Also keep in mind color variants can be really good exclusives (an example is PCS statues and their SF and recent Darkchylde maquette). And people may get both colors then too so you can double dip on the same sculpt and come up on top. :rock

hey averone, sent arh an email a couple days ago regarding postage to Singapore in january instead, but no reply yet? Is it cause he's waiting to finalise the shipping date before informing everyone to pay the balance ? :)

good god, please no color variants as exclusives. Dont get me started again on the PCS exclusives. Darkchylde never wears black, chun-li never wears black, bison never wears black. :slap They are all be better off with the original color that defined those characters over the years and just add the print as the exclusives.

Thor's sideshow exclusive is just fine, it comes with the additional hammer which is on par with most sideshow exclusives and the print is a nice added bonus. Cant wait until it arrives.

I agree with the color variants as the EX. It almost forces u to pick one or the other. The Darkchyde was that case. They should had made both red with the ex be a switchout part / print or something else. The black did not need to be made and yet the ex was a signed print.

Just choose the color variant you like. More choices the merrier. Loved the Grey Hulk PF. There's a Red Bison, Blue and Green Chunners and Red Darkchylde as well. Just photocopy a print of someone lol.

We are going to test the market.

I think ARH products have a great classical look to them, they will look great as FB/ or variation of Bronze. But I do agree, I like to change the sculpt a little and add a new color.

For Example a new EX of Medusa with a new color/ and a brand new tail!!! Now that would be cool for a brand new Exclusive. But as they were limited before, the new EX's will be even more limited this time.
I think to provide more options to the customer is always a good thing and is good for ARH!

I collect the SF line and I like to see new colors but your right its getting old! I like to see some changes to the sculpt, (As in Vega) where you have something special other than just a fabric change x4!
