Agonistes86, nice find on the pants. They look perfectly accurate. My only problem with them is that they don't hang long enough and cover the shoes a bit like this.

I know this isn't actually accurate, but I like this look better than the cleaner bottoms. It doesn't make much sense to me that his sweater is so ragged, but the pants look newer. I probably would have used those pants if I had known about them before doing mine though.

Yeah, I also weathered the bottom of mine's. I think it gives him a better more worn look.

That's what it's all about.

BTW, agonistes, nice job on the Sideshow sweater. You even got rid of the extra green stripe. It'll be too big on a Slim body, but it looks great on the original.

Thanks bro. I just might get these. I kinda like mine but I might jump on these. This thread rules. I love how we're all exchanging advice and ideas. Very cool. :duff

No problem, and I agree, this thread is great, it got me motivated again to work on my Freddy (although I got his new pants about two weeks ago, I haven't worked on him for a couple of months).

Thanks, although I'm not sure if I misunderstood you, but that pic is already of the slim TT. I'd still like to get the Mezco sweater, but in case I won't find it this will do I think.

Here's a small "evolution" of the clothes and body I just made:

From left to right: original clothes on the original buck body; original clothes on the slim TT (looks like a boy trying on his fathers clothes); new pants and heavily cut sweater on the slim TT

That middle pic cracked me up. :lol You did a great job with those improvements. It looks great. I didn't go all out with a new body and stuff like you guys. I just kept mine the way it came but used pics of the actual prop sweater to dirty and rip up mine's sweater. I still have the extra stripe though but I have him posed lifting his sweater to show off the chest of souls. I also frayed the bottom of his pants. And I have Silentsurfer adding real blades to the glove. You guys' are clearly better but mine is a great improvement over it's original look.

Here's how he looks with the Hasbro Indy hat on (eyes look pretty crappy in these pics, they look better now in person)

He doesn't look that 'knock'-eyed in person :lol

So is the general consensus that Sideshow's hat isn't good because it is too big?

Yeah, it's too big looking and the inside likes to contract and slip itself up to the top of the head after a while which rubs the paint off. Every time I go back and look at my other Freddy's again, the hats are all high and crooked even though I pushed them down nice and low.

That hasbro hat isn't too bad looking in these pics though. With some proper texturing and paint, and removed band, that just might be the one.

Alright as promised here are the pics Morbach.
As you can see the pants are a bit too short when put on properly. In the second pic I pulled them down to get a proper length, but you can already see the right hipjoint exposed a bit, though that could be covered up by the sweater.

The only two small downsides of the pants are non-functioning pockets, I think the SS version had those, although that doesn't bother me as I wouldn't use them anyway. The other thing is the top button to close the pants. There are actually two buttons, one in the middle of the fly and one on top. The one on top is very bulky, which actually shows beneath the sweater. I think I'll remove that button completely, as the lower one already does a good job on holding the pants closed.

Thanks for the pics bro. Yeah, the minor adjustments they need are easy and doable. I also don't need use of pockets. I just might grab these. Great find on them. :duff

surfer I would love to see you put your figure in some of the classic poses with some cool lighting and the fedora, if possible :0

Do you think the mezco sweater will fit the old buck body nicely? I don't think I have the patience to modify the head like you said you had to...even though it would probably look perfect on the truetype....

If I get a good hat, or have time to modify the Sideshow Indy hat, I'll take some more pics.

No, I don't think the Mezco sweater will work on the buck. It's very tight. The armpits didn't even pass the Mezco body shoulders without pulling those out of socket. I don't think you could get it on the buck without ripping it.

Here's a pic (not great quality)of my Freddy's sweater and how I weathered the hell out of it and dirtied it up using pics of the prop.
