did Hector Arce sculpt that new X-plus Zilla? The sculpt looks almost identical to the custom statue I got from him.

No, I don't think he did. Pretty sure it was one of the sculptors that X-Plus normally uses in Japan. Kudos for getting one of Arce's 2014 Godzilla statues. His stuff is awesome. In fact, his massive three foot tall Godzilla 2014 is absolutely jaw dropping awesomeness. I would love to see Gareth Edwards' team scan this and use it for the updated Godzilla in the next film. Just look at that thing. For an artist interpretation, that thing is beyond belief. Why, oh why couldn't Sideshow have done something like this.

And if you want more pics of that beauty, go to his instagram page and just geek out.

That is immense. I actually prefer the SS pose, but the sculpt work and paint is incomparable. This puts SS's to shame. Even the X-plus vinyl detains does. Smh

WANT!!! :panic:

Stuff like this makes me want to just save up for a few years and hire someone on commission. The SS maquette just isn't doing it for me anymore. On one hand, I am glad I cancelled. On the other, I am just bummed. Still eager to see some of the killer pro-shots some people around here are known for. Maybe they'll help.

Sadly it grabs the Sideshow Godzilla by the tail, swings it into a near by power plant, then grabs it by the neck and finishes it with the atomic breath. :lol

damn, I wish Hector had that one to offer. Puts his 20in version to shame. Is this said to be a one off commission or what?

I have no idea if this is just a one off custom or if he's going to sell it. I've looked on his instagram at all of his comments and he never said one way or another. I bet its too damn big for him to produce. The molds would be huge. We're talking about a piece that is on par with Kaiyodo's Yuji Sakai sculpted 1/80th scale, one meter tall 1989 Godzilla from Godzilla vs. Biollante. That beast comes in two boxes with over fifty or more hard vinyl parts, some so massive they take up an entire box. And that kit goes for anywhere from $1000.00 or more. Still, Hector says that when he built his G14, there were only 15 or so huge parts to put together. Just go look at his instagram photo timeline for pics of him sculpting it and building it. Its truly awesome and something to behold. Considering that all of the fins were attached to the back of the Big G going down the tail, that takes up a lot of possible parts. But I just don't know how he could mold that thing and keep it under $1000.00. I personally think we are looking at the very best statue/artist representation of Godzilla 2014 that none of us will ever get our hands on. Maybe he will sell it to a company like Cinemaquette/Toynami who will then make it a statue for us. Remember Hector produced a small 1989 Godzilla for Toynami. You never know.

Check out the size compared to the big JAKKS figure.

This is funny, Hector brought his smaller Godzilla to SDCC last year and posed it with Sideshow's.

I just sent him a message. If he responds, I will post it.
