Exactly. If the base is elaborate, creative and looks great ....then you would hear more compliments rather than complaints. Case in point Thanos on Throne.
People will complain that the sky is blue around here

Also mine really smelled like paint as I was opening it. Like really bad.
I had the same odor as well. I also had a broken flame on my base. Called SS and they gave me $50 credit. They didn't have any bases to replace it with. It's like rolling dice sometimes with these pieces.
They have a few thousand unsold red Phoenix bases but none for green Phoenix??

Do what you gotta do, man. Don't settle for something that doesn't work for you.
These broken heads are off to see the Wizard
The wonderful Wizard of Oz no less
I’m glad mine arrived without any problems.
I'm glad I didn't get the green cause it seems they were rushed out of the factory with no time for the paint to dry. That must be the reason most people are complaining about the smell of paint. You always get a smell of new when you open these up, but a strong smell of paint is not cool. And then broken flame tip pieces? When I got my red, it was not sealed tightly how they usually come so the packaging was engineered too small and not precise for the base. I was lucky my base was not damaged by this. I hope SS is learning from all these goofs.
Indeed. My green was also not sealed well. Definite gap between the styrofoam. Luckily I was ok.

Please show me where the yellow brick road is because I also need to see the wizard.
