All that's needed now is the phoenix manifesting itself around Jean. Got the EX myself, but I always thought SSC could've done better with the phoenix bird.

agree... I never liked how the EX head looked on Dark Phoenix but it looks perfect on the Green variant

Yeah, I thought it would be a no-brainer portrait for the variant. IMO, it's the perfect portrait for Phoenix.

I don't think so. The Deadpool PF and the Thanos MAQ have pretty elaborate bases and most collectors are raving about them. I think it all boils down to how it looks. If the base is elaborate and looks sharp, I can't see many people complaining.

Exactly. If the base is elaborate, creative and looks great ....then you would hear more compliments rather than complaints. Case in point Thanos on Throne.

Well, there's usually one complaint that comes with elaborate bases or statues...price! Elaborate pieces such as Deadpool and the Thanos MAQ carry a healthy price tag.

Speaking of bases. Is it normal for the base to have all these seams on the flames? Half of it appears seamless and the other half has flames glued in place.
