Man I had that when I was a kid but the real big Mazinger Z. I still got the Godzilla one, unfortuantely I throw away the big Rodan I had. I forget which company made those.

Probably Bandai,
the only one anime robot figure I had, was actually a Grendizer, I don't even know how I got it, it was about 4" tall...
but this new Mazinger is a beauty! I have the Soul of Chogokin line, which is awesome BTW...
I don't know, seems like I'm the only one excited about this figure!! :lol:lol
:monkey2

Amazing figure for an amazing price. I'd buy 2 if I had the $, to keep one sealed. This will be worth some good $$$ in years to come.

I think it was Mattel as part of their Shogun Warriors series, circa 1978.
Ahhh that's right, this one

Unless they re-release it like Badnai did
Usually SOC figures were $80.00-$100.00 but some were impossible to find and would fetch $250.00 or so...and they just re-released them this year...for $80.00 again...

Do you know that there's a Grendizer/Goldorak 12" available?

Strange that SSC get's the Mazinger, but doesn't get the Goldorak. Anyway, Goldorak was more popular in Europe.

These weren't that popular here in the US, but in "Latin"-America Mazinger was hugely popular in the 80's, and I mean He-Man/Transformers popular.

SOC figures are awesome... I only have a couple, but they are some of my favorites. I also have a Jumbo Mattel Gaiking, which is just badass :rock

I had all of the Mattel Shogun Warriors /Jumbo Machineders when I was a kid (except the European-only Grandizer/Goldorok). Made a nice bundle on selling the boxes on eBay a few years ago.

I recently picked up the SOC Getter Dragun and absolutely love it, and will be getting more.

I just wish the Fewture 1969 Mazinger-Z and Great Mazinger were less expensive. Those are absolutely amazing toys (though not 100% anime accurate).

I had the Fewture Mazinger and Aflodai, but sold them long ago... :monkey2
