SOC figures are awesome... I only have a couple, but they are some of my favorites. I also have a Jumbo Mattel Gaiking, which is just badass :rock

I've said it in your display thread and i'll say it again... that Gaiking and the whole setup is just great. Gundam, Transformers, Worlds Smallest Soundwave, just everything. :rock

Looks awesome, but I'd rather have the SOC version. Cheaper, made of metal and has more accessories/gimmicks

I think Mazinger was always more popular in the US... also we never got the Goldorak figure when Mattel released them.

Great Mazinger was pretty popular (part of the Shogun Warriors line as Mazinga). Mazinger Z was shown on TV here in the 80s as "Tranzor Z".

Yeah, that's what I was thinking...

BTW, a few years ago there were some that were (I think) 18" tall and diecast. I remember ABCexpress sold them, but were like $400, anyone get one of those?

this is awsome, i hope they continue this line, I love the SOC's and these will complement them perfectly, i hope the paint looks as good on the production line.:banana we need robot smilies.

I had all of the Mattel Shogun Warriors /Jumbo Machineders when I was a kid (except the European-only Grandizer/Goldorok). Made a nice bundle on selling the boxes on eBay a few years ago.

I recently picked up the SOC Getter Dragun and absolutely love it, and will be getting more.

I just wish the Fewture 1969 Mazinger-Z and Great Mazinger were less expensive. Those are absolutely amazing toys (though not 100% anime accurate).

(Not my photos.)

this is the reason why i couldn't get into these, but i agree the do look pretty cool.
