Without having to read the past 50 pages I am hoping you Freaks could assist with some decision making. I have a $30 off code and last night I was tempted to get the JumpTrooper but he is apparently sold out now, so I am wondering if this code is worth putting it towards this figure? He looks cool and I am hoping to fit him in with my HT snowtroopers but those boots seem problematic. Also, is there a good chance that HT will visit this figure? My fall back options are the 2 imperial droids. Hoping to decide within the next few hours, lol. Thank you Freaks!

It's worth it.

I'm sure HT will eventually get to him, but will he really be that much better and at a higher cost?

Thought the same with the snowtroopers but once HT got the helmet, smaller hands, fitted armor and shape. This will end up looking like a bulbous kitchen trash can.:lol
But what are ya going to do? Get the best available at the time it is available or you will always be left wanting.

I hear what you are saying, but in the case of this guy, I don't think so...On a side note, I must be the only one that loves the gloves on the sideshow version. Keeping it mind its arctic gear, kinda makes sense they would be extra padded

Thus maybe the evolution of the AT-AT Driver could be: Hasbro 12", Marmit, Sideshow and Hot Toys ;)

At the time the SS Snowtrooper was the most impressive offering, pretty much what first got me to really look at this scale seriously. I think the only issues for me are the cowl, which the Hot Toys completely nailed, and the body being a little bit loose. In your side by side, Matt, everything else looks just as good (from normal distance) for me. You have it futzed well and I prefer the looser pants on the SS Snowtrooper.

My main issue with the Sideshow version when I got the Hot Toys Stormtroopers became that the SS Snowtrooper helmet, especially the eye lenses and how they're spaced, looked undersized in comparison. Thankfully that's not the case with the Hot Toys Snowtrooper.

Any Canadians here near Surrey? The awesome Toy Traders (coolest toy store on Earth, hands down) has this figure on sale for $145 CDN, which is like $120 US or something. Total steal. They had several in stock too. AT-AT Driver was always one of my favorite Imp troops, so I'm happy to finally have this one!

I love this figure but my only gripe is that there is no ankle articulation. Otherwise everything is spot on. Wish I would have purchased him when the exclusive was available.
