Sideshow Iron Man Comiquette question...

I'm looking for a good painter myself for my SIM. I have the Original Red & Gold also but wished Sideshow had lights put in that one. I bought the SIM just to have it painted R&G. If the paint job turns out great I maight sell my R&G.

I think that you are dead-on Ski. This has been going on quite a bit over the last few years on Ebay with so many people starting to do it full time as opposed to being hobbyist. If they want to sell the item they can re list it first and then notify you or let the Ebay system do it for you automatically. I'd avoid all of the back alley off book stuff.

Right now I'm trying to find a good painter that won't cost me the price of a PF to get my SIM repainted. So far I have not been successful and right now I'm considering learning to paint it myself, which would not be good. If my comiquette is done right and looks good I'll seriously consider selling my R&G IM.

Yeah and make more of thing of beauty by haven't it painted and then sell me the IM Comm EX, if that piece is for real, I will give big bucks for it!!!! The Ski is the limit son!

My SIM has a crooked arm (because he was probably a fake that I was suckered into buying) but he still deserves the love of getting to look like the real IM.

I have accepted that my SIM will be with me forever, crooked arm and all!

Not that you can see but remember that my SIM's fist doesn't go into the crater, it rests on the left edge of the damn thing hence the 2 damn paint chips on his pinky!

If I place his fist in the crater as it's supposed to be, his foot electric peg (plug) doesn't align with the hole in the base!

I wouldn't worry about it though. It's not that big of a deal. I thought it was something much worse.

I didn't know that there were fake SIM's, I was under the impression that SIM were difficult to copy. I guess I'll never know because I always buy directly from Sideshow.

Well we don't know for sure, it's just that it doesn't fit into the base properly... right J?

I don't know either....i'm probably just talking out of my rear star fish.

Mine is more than likely a real one......but one who's freaking fist doesn't go into the center of the damn crater and instead rests on the right edge of the crater causing paint chip damage on his pinky!

My red & gold IM is the regular version. The reason I didn't get the exclusive is because I though it was silly to have a changable head, boy was I dumb. I never thought that exclusives brought big money since I'm not a seller I had little reason too. Even back then I thought the exclusive should have a light up feature. When Sideshow produce 2 special light up IM I got a little pissed and said this should have been on the red & gold instead. One of those specials were given to Robert Downey Jr. and the other was sold on auction for $18,000 I believe.

When Sideshow announced the release of a light up SIM I thought that it was going to be a true SIM which is different looking than the red & gold armor but Sideshow just took the original and repainted it with lights. This is my chance to correct their wrong but I need to do 2 things with this.

1.) Change the lights from red to yellow.
2.) Find a good painter who won't charge so much money that I could buy another PF with his fee.
