I am glad that the final product will because the prototype clearly doesn't.

So I thought Asajj didn't have a lightup saber mainly because of the switchable hand but Lukes saber can light up?

Well, the way Maul's saber lights up is his hand has a pin that plugs into the forearm, so my guess is, they set this up so the saber hand has that plug and the Ex. just attaches on, I think it's not that difficult.

Well, the way Maul's saber lights up is his hand has a pin that plugs into the forearm, so my guess is, they set this up so the saber hand has that plug and the Ex. just attaches on, I think it's not that difficult.

Right, but the gun hand will then have to incorporate the electronics in such a way as to not damage them when on display; i.e. a receptor without function.

Either way, I am glad it will in fact light up.

After lagging for a long while, ordered the EX glad the lightsaber lights up. The blaster is a pretty cool display option.

It will need to be held on somehow, and neither a peg or magnet would work.

Sideshow has obviously figured something out, I will just wait and see along with everyone else.

Sideshow has obviously figured something out, I will just wait and see along with everyone else.

I'm thinking this is a last minute change, possibly due to the feedback on here. THe prototype doesn't look set up for it, so they probably saw response on here and bounced around how feasible it would be to add it.

So much for selling out in under a minute like some had predicted. Personally, I'm not blown away by this piece. It's a good likeness, but I would've liked a different pose. I may get it later on the secondary market. Thankfully the exclusive is not a must-have by any means.

Well, the prediction on the Ex. sell out seemed based on the idea of the vest being the Ex. and if it were, I'm sure that would have made a big difference.

I imagine many don't see themselves ever not using the lightsaber on this piece and aren't hot to get the Ex. If the gun hand had been his left and he could have the saber and gun, might have changed things.

I was equally surprised. Doing some last minute X-mas shopping and was surprised to see the Ex still available when I got home.

Perhaps the Edition size isn't as large as we think. This pre-order has started at an odd time for many people, and the die hards are the ones who are right in front of the computer when it went up. I'm thinking the Exclusive will be less than 1000. With the way recent Exclusive Editions have been sized recently and with a regular edition, SS would be just asking for extra stock if they made the exclusive edition any larger. I'm guessing around 750 or so.
