Paint apps are not the worst (slave leia) but could be better (I am sure some here can make it awesome). Likeness is very good but shy of the gold standard (ANH Leia), best of the 3 Lukes.

I ultimately decided to let this one go--just don't have room for duplicates of the same character, and I'm too attached to my ANH Luke PF (who also fits in with all of the other Ep. IV PFs).

Seems to have a heavy paint job...one of these reasons I pass on these most of the time....

I have him coming later this week, but I agree that the profile paint apps are sloppy around the hairline and applied pretty heavy and thick. This is only one pic, so I am not sure how widespread thick paint apps will be. Hopefully it is just the flash, but I hope they all aren't like that.

Actually, what are the chance this becomes gift card eligible and when? I see the Yoda/501st is already GC eligible.

I'd say this would go GC eligible soon. Yoda/Trooper is actually a really great piece and aside from the location of the battery switch and the lightsaber's glow, I see very few complaints on it and yet it's still available. The Luke has been being bashed since the first pics showed up; the Ex in particular. That and the Luke has a larger ES than the Yoda/Trooper. I hate to say it, but SSC will probably be sitting on the Reg and Ex for alittle bit.

I'd wait it out, if you've got a nice GC.

Well YvC also has no Ex and an Es of 1500, so it's possible. I'll say the Ex will be 2nd chance for a while and the reg will end up GC eligible.

Which is fine with me since I'm in no rush, really. I mean, I have the spot right next to my Anakin PF open for him, but I'm more than certain, I can find him for a really good price under retail for him especially since I have no care for the EX

I am not too worried by those pics, the last one looks ok to me.

I wouldn't wait too long for the EX, though none of the SW PFs have ever really taken off.
