Palpatine is Human but Sideshow has said that they won't do actual human likenesses in 1:1. A deformed Emperor is definitely not the same as a full likeness of Ian. It is Apples and Oranges. If they were going to do Helmeted Characters they'd have done Darth Vader already and if they were going to do Human characters we would have gotten a couple of Luke already let's be realistic.

Could they find the fur in 1:1 scale to give us a Chewbacca bust? It might be the only way for Sideshow to produce a piece based on the character because of the limitations in scaled fur for the smaller sized pieces.

While Palpatine is a human character, Darth Sidious' disfigurement makes his appearance borderline alien...

Actually, he agreed with me that he is human... he just "looks" alien as Sidious.

So the 1:1 INDY bust that was a notable part of that license announcement must have been for a 1:1 Alien or Crystal Skull then?

Not that we'll ever see it. They appear to be on their way to LOTR-ing that license as well.

They have said no Human and Helmeted in SW, I don't know if that is the general policy with all licenses....

Old Ben would be a good one... there are some custom jobs out there that are really nice if you have the $$$. I think someone (maybe Gruson) posted images before, and he had a Ben if I'm not mistaken.

It obviously doesn't apply to other licenses. There have been Godfather 1:1 busts haven't there? and Scarface?

yeah it was Gruson that posted pics of the Old Ben custom, but i had hopes that i would have them all from the same company...matching bases, another big Sideshow box.
i have been tossing the idea of purchasing this one around, but i have no idea where to get the robes, and hood from. also, not sure where i can get him painted...maybe DarkArtist can lend his brushes??

The only 1:1 that is human based completely is Scarface, the next closest would be Drac...everyone else is a character of some sort. Like I said in the initial interviews with SSC with their first 1:1 bust was done they said no human or helmeted characters.

Why would Dooku be one they should make? I could think of plenty others I'd much rather get any day over Dooku:

- Nien Nunb (obviously)
- Bib Fortuna
- Boushh

C'mon that's is stretching it a bit. That's like saying because of all the Prothetics and makeup, Michael Jackson is no longer human...
