I think I also will pass on this, I also prefer 1/4 scale, I am learning to apply 1/4 scale or fail philosophy more in this hobby. Unless I really like the character I'll try to pass on 1/5 scale regardless on how good the sculpt is, it will save me tons of money.

SSC has been going hard on 1/5 scale pieces, I think they are trying to get a ton out before they redo characters in 1/4 scale, otherwise the smaller ones won't sell. Then again against all reason and logic, SSC thinks collectors don't give a crap about scale. I mean two 1/5 scale pieces with 500 ES for the Ex in a week? Crazy.

To top it all of 13 of the last 18 1/5 and smaller pieces have not sold out yet......

I think you are in the minority. Most people just want a killer piece, regardless of scale. The good pieces will sell, the bad ones won't, regardless of scale. Look at Bowen. Not everyone wants the giant-size shelf and storage space hogs.

I am sure fuzzy have a point and enough of people here do care about scale. Me to some point. But I don't think SSC have such a rush to sell that fast. They have a good chunk of the market and they can maximize their profit if they make for the near future as well. True Sold out after shipping mean early opportunity for flipper when they can make a little more ES and thus more sales/profit. Too much ES and they waste money with storage. This is probably a little logistic from SSC.

I could be wrong but then how come so many 1/5 scale pieces are still available?

Not only 1/5 pieces fuzzy.

She-Hulk PF, Black Panther PF, Sabretooth...without mentioning other lines such as LSB or dios or pieces from other licences such as SW or Disney.

All of them 1/4 pieces, all of them EX, and all of them in stock.

That's 5/16 Exes still available (1/4 scale) versus 13/16 Exes still available (1/5 scale). Looks like the minority has become the majority.

Bottom line - nothing is selling.
Money isn't readily available for most collector's of the comic book genre. The days of 1500 pieces genuinely selling-out, are gone for good. Believe it.
All the popular characters have been produced, and unless they are something extremely well done, or unique- like the Bowen Action Thor, not everyone is eager to drop their cash. The Koto X-Men Danger Room series looked to be a keeper for me, as I've been lucky with my purchases regarding paint apps, but the fact they dropped Rogue because of poor pre-orders ought to tell you something. And that was a dynamic, well sculpted pose.

If Madame Hydra didn't have the swap out limbs and head, I may have passed. I don't care for most of the prints- buying something I can produce a better version of, does not interest me.

I think people are just being more selective, higher ES. Most of the 1/4 scales are doing well.

This statue looks fantastic.

After the reveals thus far at the SDCC, Sideshow RULES.
I wonder if they have a new Art Director? Anyone know?

she looks fantastic, but i still canceled her. With sideshow picking up the DC line and myself buying hot toys as well as statues well lets just say i don't have as much disposable income as i would like. With my interests varying I need to be more selective about what I am purchasing. It pretty came down to Madame Hydra Com or The Joker Premium Format. sorry darlin clown wins
