BBTS finally got theirs in!
Got my customs bill today
Okay, just need someone out there who is a good soul and sculptor to make a couple of aftermarket energy swords with an axe as well. Hell, I'd pay a couple of hundred dollars for them (or more if painted) to complete this baby.
yes, is there anyone making highend aftermarket swords for this statue? can look exactly like the exclusive or different.
where are all the chinese fake sellers when you need them /sigh
Got my Optimus a couple of hours ago. Getting ready to unbox it and put it together. Hope nothing is screwed up on this baby.
UPDATE--just got Optimus unboxed. Looks like everything is fine. Great paint job for sure. Striking colors and great presentation. Massive statue with those two huge cannons. Bring on the Decepticons! Got #184 out of 500. Okay, just need someone out there who is a good soul and sculptor to make a couple of aftermarket energy swords with an axe as well. Guys, I just got my optimus since it's shipped abroad. The toe-like metal part was broken. What do I do about it? Is it possible to get replacement since it means sending back half the body.
Also, if it's not possible how di I fix this?
Thanks..
Apart from that. This figure is sick. It worth every penny... then... double it
sorry to hear, that really sucks (but why on earth would you buy from overseas? ). You have two options:
1) There is a body only optimus for sale on ebay currently for $1k, obviously the price is crazy but you can try your luck with the seller to see if he will lower it or swap with your broken one + cash.
2) Get one of the guys on statueforum to fix it for you.
Both will be expensive
Hey fellas, I received my EX Optimus Prime yesterday late in the day, but was unable to open and take pictures immediately due to other responsibilities. Upon opening up the packaging my 1st reaction was one of amazement, but yet of disappointment. The reason for the disappointment is that the base was much bigger than I anticipated and the statue will not fit in the case that I had readied for it. Big bummer for me. No immediate case for Optimus. The base is actually very light much to my surprise. It feels like it is and I'm sure that it is hollow inside. The main weight comes from the statue itself. The UPS shipping weight of the box was 8.6lbs. Overall I am really happy with the statue. It really is a piece that looks much better in hands and I feel that the pictures really dont do it justice. The level of detail in the sculpt is awesome, but I feel that the staue falls short in the paint department. There are so many parts that have been sculpted and molded and unfortunately not all of them received the attention that they should have for a $1,300 statue. The main and noticable pieces are the ones that mainly get the paint attention. I had hoped to have taken pictures in natural daylight, but was unable due to the time of day. Once I started taking pictures my camera battery died. Hopefully I'll have time tomorrow to take additional pics. Here are a couple of pics showing some different angles and close ups of some of the parts.
