forgot to mention wait a few hours or even a day or 2 after the glue to apply the paint, no hurry. Also really just need a tiny tiny bit of touchup paint to cover up the hairline crack line.

btw how did you manage to fit the optimus inside a besta? isnt the base too big for the 15" depth. I had to have a contractor to make me a custom cabinet deep enough to fit him.

Once again thanks for the info and help Gagaliya I never had to do this process to fix a statue so I'm a little worry and hesitant I might mess up and make it worst ,still not sure if i will attempt to do it myself since I want it done right. I had separate space for him but moving things around changed so I had to put him inside the besta for now sticking out a little bit not perfect but it works. Wanted a custom acrylic but just to much $$$$ my main concern is his broken toe so that's what I care about now .bull____ like this makes you to stop collecting

There is no way that was done by moving it only. I carried mine up 2 flights of stairs from my living room to my collectibles room and the toe didn't break off. Maybe the toe was already cracked and it just took that final movement to break it off completely. Sucks but good luck with the repair.

not sure if i am looking at this correctly, but that break off piece why is the inside not white but purple-ish, it should be white if it's a fresh break. The color looks like someone already applied some sort of glue on it. As long as they fit back perfectly with no missing pieces, should be easy to glue back.

Your guess is as good as mine gentlemen, but has to be common sense no way moving it couple feet from one room to another this would happen. The piece of garbage that I bought it from on eBay must of repaired it sold it as new. Wouldn't know Gagaliya It is purple inside the toe fits in perfectly is just painting it and little chunk of polystone that came of the toes peg. Looks like an easy fix if you know what you doing, I don't have the experience not going to try not on a expensive piece like this I rather pay someone to do it right, if anyone knows someone reliable let me know appreciated

That could be just the glue the factory used. You know they do have to glue these things together before they finish them. I wouldn't go blaming the seller. Many of these had the same problem during shipping. You could try and call Sideshow. Maybe they have an extra bottom half they could send you.
If you repair it, Just get some 5min all purpose epoxy and glue it back together. Use a toothpick to apply it. So you don't get it all over the place.
After the glue is dry you can sand/fill/then repaint if the seams are visible. Buy some Tamiya silvers to match the paint.
Where at in NJ are you?

I believe in benefit of the doubt but in this situation it's really hard I know alot of issues where they came damage during shipping but this was not the case. First thing I did when I received it check the legs everything was fine in one piece. Then it just snapped moving it one room to another, It did cross my mind worth a shot im going to try tomorrow give SS a call see they could do something. Atleast I know its fixable Again if I had experience with this process i would but not trying to make it worst not for the price I payed am I going to risk it. If there's someone whose local and familiar with this process let me know I'm in elizabeth new jersey Either way thanks for all the feedback and help

Hey all -

Looking for a little help from Optimus Prime owners. Mine arrived with a couple of the plastic pieces loose - not breakage, just the glue letting loose during shipment which isn't unexpected. However, one of the pieces has been a little hard to place. I think I found its counterpart on the other side of the body, but need somebody who can confirm and take some detailed pictures of where it is supposed to be.

The part

It appears to go under the two small blue panels on the front side of his waist. It is the left (as you look at him) that I think is missing. The yellow lines show on the right where the matching piece is, and on the left where I think this should go.

If anybody can take a look at their own and maybe take some detailed photos of the supports behind that left blue panel, I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks!

Many thanks. It's such a small area that it is hard to figure out where exactly it would go.

Tell me about it and it is tough to get a good pic too. I was able to get two pics for you before my camera battery died, but they are not the greatest. Hope they help though. If they are not useable then I will try to take better pics tomorrow again after work.

If you are facing the maquette, the piece location will be on the left side inside the blue body section on the midsection or stomach area.

That will be a tough piece to put back in there. Again, let me know if you need better pics and I will try my best to get you some. :)
