If I had the time, I'd bust out the 2002 NECA statue along wit the PCS Filmation for a comparison shot.

For me this is the most highly detailed and finely made MOTU collectible made so far I say this but of course PCS have yet to release their mixed media He-Man which is truer to the character than SS. Maybe then it would be a good time to do a full spectrum of He-Man in statue form.

MOTU - a property with zero to no entertainment, no movies, TV shows or games and yet it's a strong brand.

That would make a great comparison photo! Do you also have the 2001 SDCC statue? I've had them all at some point apart from the filmation He-Man. So regret selling them. Have both the Sideshow and PCS Mixed Media coming and will be hanging on to those. No Battle-Cat though - I had to (my wife had to) draw the line..

Great pics Eamon! I CAN NOT wait to get mine!

I got mine in a couple hours ago. Be careful with the Cape. The leather has been edged with paint but as most know, leather doesn't hold pain. So it rubs off. It leaves a black chalky residue, like when you read a newspaper ( I know, anyone under 30 is confused lol) it leaves that black smudge all over hands and the statue if your not careful. Also..the cape is a huge pain in the *** to get on and right.

Would some kind of sealant solve this issue? Hmmm.

The cape is odd but my girlfriend managed to get it on no worries at all.

Oh I have pretty much everything from 200x include the 2001 SDCC statue. I am looking forward to the PCS one.

It'll certainly make for a good photo. Would you say the Sideshow He-Man is the same sort of size as the NECA one?

Definitely contact Sideshow. You paid a lot of money for this thing. If it looks like it'll be a hassle, maybe you can live with it? But I'd give it a try.

Yeah, it's a little difficult to tell from the photo. I haven't got mine yet, but from photos I've seen they do look to have a similar look around the hair. Think I read somewhere that the hair is plastic?

if you guys not seeing the same paint blemishes on yours then I will be sending this back. I just wanted to make sure...thanks for all the info and help!

You guys do understand that these are painted by hand right? I've spotted one or two paint bleeds but thats' to be expected as ya know...they are painted hand.

I know I will get flamed but the things some here return stuff for is just silly to me. That shield is not broken as it just he attachment that came loose and could be easily made 100% perfect as that is how it was attached in the first place. Those aren't really blemishes and to me more look like just a bit too much paint and I would not ask for a return. Expecting high standards is fine but I think folks need to appreciate that these things are hand painted by a human and certain imperfections are bound to happen.

I understand what your saying and thats why I wanted to see if others have the same paint issues as me. every time I look at the statue my Attention disorder kicks in.

Oh I get that dude, once you see a thing, you tend to only focus on that and that can and deminish your enjoyment. So while I think your paint issue is not a deal breaker I do understand where you are coming from.
I think if Sideshow say that 'yeah that's an issue' then it's an issue. If they don't then it's not as that is from the horse mouth so to speak. Of course they are a business too so may not be so forth coming.

that's not a paint bleed, it's painted too thick in that area and it's front in center on his head, you're not going to miss it

and yeah if there's paint bleed on the under side of her leg where you can't see it fine whatever, if it's on his face you damn well should send it back, if you don't want to power to you but it's certainly a ****up worthy of replacement or return

I think a lot has to do with how nicely you ask sideshow for help. If your a **** or make demands you can expect to be met with resistance. I've always begun by thanking them for taking the time to look at my issue, second I am extremely descriptive in my explanation of any problems the bother me big or small. Lastly, I thank them again for taking the time address my issues so swiftly. Even people who issue replacements like to be stroked from time to time. Some people just don't know how to approaching things as in how would you like to be treated?
