...and I agree, Depp makes POTC, the rest of the cast are expendable imo but no-one else can capture Cap'n Jack like Depp has, imo of course

That appearance came shortly before things took and ugly turn. He made that appearance and then like a few weeks later, some big wig at Disney was let go and apparently Depp was really fond of the guy and upset about him being let go and that's what got the tales of Depp not being involved going. Things were running smoothly until Disney canned the guy.

Depp is the only one signed to Pirates 4. Orlando Bloom was supposed to do a cameo but refused because he was following his girlfriend around during her Victoria's Secret shoots but that was before the delays. What people have to remember is that Depp likes to work so when something is delayed he takes another project which is why things like POTC4 or Dark Shadows or The Lone Ranger ends up being even more delayed because he is off doing something else.

He showed up to the first D23 convention as Jack Sparrow and rumors were that he walked through the crowds pretending to be a dressed character to see if anyone would recognize him. He isn't leaving the franchise anytime soon, admittedly he said in an interview that he loves the character and its the first time he wanted to revisit and expand. Depp has a lot of pull with Disney changing the character's look even down to the day before shooting because originally Jack Sparrow looked like something out of the Swashbucker serials. Even if someone left that he liked, that isn't the dealbreaker what that usually means is that he will not wait out as a courtesy and that Disney will have work around him instead of the other way around.

I loved all the movies, the first one was great, the second was less but predictable and the third was by far the weakest and jampacked (the rumor mill again spinning that it was actually two different drafts for a third movie put together) but I still thought they were fun and watch them whenever they are on.

To address the concern, Sideshow ONLY has the license to do Premium Formats, which is why things like the Chernabog PF which has no mixed media is still called a PF because of the license restrictions. They've said that eventually they'll get into other formats like dios and busts but for right now want to focus on the Premium Formats. When Jack Sparrow does arrive he'll be 1:4 and fantastic.

They've said that eventually they'll get into other formats like dios and busts but for right now want to focus on the Premium Formats. When Jack Sparrow does arrive he'll be 1:4 and fantastic.

I went to see a custom model ship builder here in belgium today. if alway's had a thing for the Black pearl.

so i asked the guy what it would cost to build a scaled model of the black pearl for me. would be around 1000$
but it would be a one of a kind fully detailt model so i have to give it some toughts

That would be a VERY cool model to have in your collection. One of a kind!
