Oh, I thought it was some Jack specific vid or something, man that's like a .2 second shot, however, going by p!tu's blow up, this could turn out to be the best Jack Sparrow sculpt to date, maybe not necessarily everyone's pick for expression but that one shot really looks like Johnny as Captain Jack.

At least he's pretty far along, looks fully painted and sculpted, I'm wondering if there'll be 2 heads, hatted and unhatted, like Indy, as the shot seems to have 2 portraits side by side. I'm pretty much game for this piece no matter what, but it'll be an ultimate Sparrow piece for me if it has the coat and hat options, that's my vision of Jack, the full garbs.

Yeah, Indy, especially the poses for the PF, doesn't make too much sense without the hat, but Jack, he can work with or without, he spent a balanced time with both looks and while people will have preferences for a look, hatted or not doesn't change his persona, to me taking indy's hat away totally changes the entire image he conveys, he goes from an explorer to just some dude. Hat or no hat, Jack's a pirate.

Did anyone check out the Snake Eyes vs Ninja diorama assembly instructions? I don't know if a dio coming in so many pieces is normal ( I don't own any of their dios) but it got me thinking. If they had Jack's arms attachable via magnets or whatever, they could make his coat removable I would think. That would certainly up the display value if they could do that. I mean it is debateable which look is more iconic for Jack, although I'd side with the coat, so this could help with that.

In my experience, the separation of pieces with the dioramas is driven by how fragile the elements are and what pieces would be best off coming separate and what can be molded together. The first one I've seen that has instructions is the AVPR dio, and I think the Joe dio is another case of all the elements and the composition of characters dictating a breakdown for safer shipping.
I'd love the idea of Jack with a removable coat so we could for sure have the option to have the coat, but I'm not sure they'd make separate arms unless they felt it was necessary to safely ship him.
I'm glad enough with the portrait though, that tiny glimpse looks so nice, he could come coat, hat and all and if the portrait wasn't up to expectations, it wouldn't matter, but the head's looking good so now I'm eager to see the rest of the piece.

Its got ok likeness, but I don't think its screaming Depp. With that being said I'll PO and see how it comes along. I'm hoping for the best because I was really looking forward to this one.
