Mine's just been returned.... the bottom half of the spear fell out?!? spooky, will get it replaced though, great piece. Unfortunatly it isn't as detailed as the P1 dio but it's a really great looking piece in it's own right. Good size also as with all of these dio's.

SS Pred 2 dio
Well i finally bit the bullet and bought this dio, I wasn't going to, because I didn't really like the pose and the colum it was on didn't suit(the Pred 2 didn't sit atop of the colum in the movie). Anyway as the EU section closed this was up for sale, so I though what the hell and to my surprise it only cost me $214aus shipping included, cheaper than if i bought it at the local comic shop. So now I have the SS P1 dio, P2 dio(arriving soon) and Aliens dio, as well the the full size Palisades P2 dio(which is the reason I originally wasn't interested in the SS version as the Palisades has a better base and pose. Now all I need the Alien 3 dio.
Well, just thought I'd share my little story with you guys.

Damn you got a good deal, bought mine when they were released and it cost me $230 USD with shipping. Plus the exchange rate at the time was .71AUD / $1USD

Ouch, that'd hurt. i was surprised at the price too, and yeah i'm on the flexpay for the ex AvP:R dio, it's costing me the same as you. oh well you get good deals and not so good ones. The joys of collecting.

I think the collum is designed on the interior of the drug barrons apartment if i remember rightly? But don't fear, this piece is much nicer in person than it is in pictures, i have the palisades triumphant statue myself and love it but the SS piece blows it away in all but the design of the base. Paint job and detail work is much better.

can someone show me a comparison pic of Sideshow Pred 2 diorama VS Palisades Predator 2 Triumphant (Full Size) side by side?

Not the best but you get the idea.....
The main complaint i have about the P2 dio from ss is that it shows my good old triumphant statue to be rather lacking in detail, i still love it though, looks great mounted high up looking over the room. That said they are boh blown away by the P1 dio which has far more detail than the ss P2, real trophies hanging loose as opposed to painted etc....

I really like the base on the triumphant, but yes the Sideshows own the Palisades piece, still a nice compliment to the SS dios.

i actually picked both of these up over the last few months as a christmas present for my mum. she wanted something pred to display at work. they were the first non 1/6 item i'd picked up from SS and they're awesome!! really love the detail in them.
